  1. Boker Plus - Chuck Gedraitis Micarta Smatchet Pocket Knife - 01BO141 - knife

This model originates from Col. Rex Applegate's project the "Boker Smatchet", developed as a large combat knife, also perfect as a multifunctional tool for outdoors.

Starting from that project, Chuck Gedraitis' new Boker Plus Pocket Smatchet combines the design of the famous classic with the advantages of a practical pocket knife.

The sturdy Pocket Smatchet features a VG-10 Spearpoint blade, featuring a durable stonewash finish. The removable thumb pin on the back of the blade allows for ambidextrous opening, while the linerlock reliably locks it in place. The sturdy clip is milled from solid and also features the characteristic indentations of the classic Smatchet. With lanyard hole and high quality nylon case for storage.

  2. ExtremaRatio - BF2CD Knife Stone Washed - Classic Drop - knife

The BF2 is a "full size" lockable particularly suitable for professional use by military and police operators in the field. The handle is firm and comfortable; the clip, reversible and enveloping, becomes a useful and comfortable support for the thumb in "reverse grip". The grip is full with the characteristic lowered surfaces to engage the opening "pins" without protruding from the profile of the closed knife. The blade, available in a drop or a lot version, has a flat edge and, as in the BF1, a particularly thick and resistant tip. The blade locking mechanism is the tested LINER-LOCK, assisted by a safety mechanism to be operated manually protected by a casing.

  3. ExtremaRatio - BF2CT Knife Stone Washed - Classic Tanto - knife

  16. Boker - Kalashnikov AK-47 Damascus by Chad Nichols - 11KAL48DAM - knife

In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov presented the AK-47 assault rifle he had designed to the Red Army and immediately convinced the decision-making bodies of its development. Only two years later, the now famous AK-47 was officially put into service as the "7.62 mm Awtomat Kalasshnikova obraztsa 1947". Even then, the simple and reliable design with a gas-pressure magazine with a swivel-head breech, the consistent use of stamped plates that could be produced quickly and cheaply, and the adherence to a class of cartridges introduced by the Wehrmacht with the StG 44 with an average performance between machine gun and rifle ammunition set the trend to this day. These characteristics have made the Kalashnikov system the most built and replicated weapon in history, with an estimated 100 million manufactured worldwide.

Introduced in 1959 along with the AKM, the revised variant of the AK-47, the bayonet was no less revolutionary and formative for later designs than the famous assault rifle itself. The concept was based on a knife originally developed by R. Todorov for combat swimmers. It marked a move away from long bayonets, which were used purely as cutting weapons, to a short, mountable knife with insulated shears and a multifunctional rear saw.

Mikhail Kalashnikov personally visited the Boker manufacture in Solingen in 2002 and officially introduced the Boker Kalashnikov knife line to the public. More than 70 years after the AK-47 entered service, we now present a truly exceptional special edition model of the knife line and once again honor its brilliant engineering achievement. The Boker Kalashnikov Bayonet Damascus features a unique Damascus steel blade, made from 6Ch3 and 6Ch4 bayonet steel according to the GRAU index of the former Soviet Army and decorated with General Kalashnikov's signature. The stainless Damascus, handcrafted by Chad Nichols, has 80 layers and is hand forged in the Virus pattern. It features an unusually intricate pattern that is the result of a very controlled forging process.

The handle is CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminum and then black anodized. The stabilized inlays are made of domestic hornbeam wood, reminiscent of the wood in the stock of the famous assault rifle, and together they form the shape of the characteristic vents on the fore-end. The Russian amber shellac color of the original stocks has been accurately reproduced. They are also CNC milled from solid and inserted by hand. All screws and clip are also black anodized. Made in the Boker knife factory in Solingen, it is delivered with transparent floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.

  23. Maserin - D-Dut Multi Tool - Black - 214N - multipurpose knife

This knife is made in Maniago from an idea of the designer Alex Olivetto aka Bonus, also from Maniago. Design and product made in Italy, exactly as our customers want.

The D-Dut is a small but strong multi-purpose knife with essential tools to carry with you in everyday life. An object so small can solve emergency situations or small repair operations.

Our company this year reaches the milestone of 61 candles, and in the 60s and 70s our company made the classic multipurpose knife with handles in nylon, wood buffalo horn and deer horn. Today, this knife still has the DNA of its ancestors: inspiration, functionality and reliability.

  27. MKM - Goccia Flipper by Jens Anso - Dark Stonewashed Titanium - MK-GC-TDSW - knife

GOCCIA packs a sleek look into a sturdy frame with incredible ergonomics.

With this design by Jens Anso we would like to pay homage to one of the essential elements that gave rise to the production of knives in Maniago, Water, which in 1453 moved the hammers to forge the first blades and which has guided the evolution of our craft tradition. The concentric ellipses worked in 3D on the handle recall the ripples created by a drop falling into the water, forms and moments of liquid energy: origin and propagation of water.

  40. Takeshi Saji - Black Damascus Steak knife - SPG2 Damascus and Micarta - handmade knife

Takeshi Saji was born in 1948 in Takefu (Fukui prefecture), a city located roughly in the center of Japan and in the heart of an area for centuries devoted to the production of blades. His workshop is still there, built around the oven thanks to which, for several years now, Takeshi Saji has been forging steel (especially damascus) with which he makes various models of traditional Japanese knives. The choice of materials for the finishes (mainly natural), the essential lines - evocative of use - and the chromatic combinations of rare impact make his creations unique and unmistakable in the panorama of world cutlery and, at home, they have earned him the prestigious title of Maestro.

  48. Maserin - D-Dut Multi Tool - Red - 214R - multipurpose knife

    FROM COLD STEEL WEBSITE

The Oyabun Limited is a high-end collector's version of our Oyabun. It shares features in common with the standard model in terms of functionality and appearance, but differs greatly in the materials used in its construction. It also has the value of being a collectible keepsake as only 3500 were produced. Each one is serially numbered and each box will be personally signed by Lynn C. Thompson himself! The blade's fine S35VN steel is an expensive powder coated steel that is heat treated to Rc 59-60 and hardened to sub zero. It has been given an attractive two-tone finish on the blade planes and a high satin polish on the blade bevels. Notably, the handle frame is milled from two solid billets of 6061 aluminum to create the bolster and pommel, which has been given a beautiful mirror polished finish. The handle also features CNC-machined G-10 plates with a diamond checkerboard pattern for a good, secure grip.

"I like flashy knives and when they are limited collector's editions with serial numbers made from high quality materials, I like them even more. That's why I think you'll like our Oyabun Limited. Only 3500 pieces will be made. All individually serial numbered with 6061 aluminum frames, CNC machined handles that are completely checkered just like my much original and a two-tone polished S35VN blade! And best of all, all this splendor and high performance is backed by our state-of-the-art leaf spring lock and secondary safety, so you know it won't bend on your hand. Now you have a knife that is worth every penny asked (just compare) and has tremendous appeal/appreciation from collectors!!!" - Lynn Thompson

    Acknowledgments

Currently I make a limited number of knives a year and participate in some exhibitions, where among other things I have won my first prizes:

in 2005 at LAME SOTTO I PORTICI in Romano di Lombardia (BG) I was awarded as "best table on display"

always in the same year at the CULTER-EXPO in Novegro (MI) as "best folding knife"

I was also ranked second in the competition organized by the magazine LAME D'AUTORE as the best fixed hunting blade

then in 2007 at "Scarperia" I won the third prize for best folding

but above all again in 2007, to my great satisfaction, I reached the degree of MASTER OF THE ITALIAN KNIVING CORPORATION, a recognition received at the first exam.

    Presentation of the craftsman

Creating a knife by hand is what I consider a real art form.
The satisfaction of seeing an object that comes from one's own hands, that takes shape and reaches mechanical, artistic and aesthetic perfection is what pays me back the most for all the hours of work and effort it takes to create a knife completely. by hand.

The passion for "cutting tools" has always been in me since I was a child and grew with me until the almost sudden decision to build my first knife myself, it was a "need", almost an inner necessity that I couldn't put off, my hands and my mind had to start creating, of course, what I had always been passionate about ... the knife!

I started at 40, in 2003, practically self-taught, I had no experience of manual work, but I had been a mechanical designer for many years and this allowed me to perfectly know the technique and all the various stages of mechanical processing.

Currently I am a member, with the rank of Master, which is the highest, of the Italian Knives Guild, an association recognized all over the world for the seriousness and above all quality of execution that all its members must maintain over time.

What I do now is what I consider my art form ..., to create "handcrafted, hunting and collectible knives".

They are knives made entirely by hand, only with an infinite series of files, a small drill for the holes and a sander for the concave grinding of the blades, nothing else!
I mainly make folding knives, which satisfy my desire to build perfect mechanical objects and perfection in the smallest details, even inside where they are not seen, is what distinguishes a knife created by hand, from one made industrially .

The mechanics then must be made in the best possible way, without counting the hours of work, only in this way the final result is guaranteed.

Of course, over the years I have refined my technique and currently I have improved the mechanics even more by inserting a system of ball bearings on the blade rotation, which guarantee an absolutely perfect seal and allow the blade to close and open without the slightest friction. and with an incredible sweetness.

With regard to the blades then, I am experimenting with new types of hardening, which give hardnesses of 62-63 HRC and allow an exceptional edge hold and cutting quality for all types of use.

I make practically all the knives on an initial design of mine, they are all unique pieces made completely by hand down to the smallest details, one at a time, only in this way, in my opinion, a knife can be considered "artisanal".

Regarding the materials I use, I can say that for the blades I prefer RWL34 steel which is sintered from powders and guarantees the total absence of internal defects, sometimes I also use damascus, both stainless steel and carbon, for the uniqueness 'that give the knife, since each damask is always different from another.

For the handles, one of the most beautiful materials is the mammoth tooth, which can be found in a variety of wonderful colors, I also use fossil mammoth ivory, various briars, titanium and carbon fiber.

Most of the knives, however, are made entirely of steel, in order to then be engraved, always and strictly by hand, to transform the knife even more into a real work of art ...

  57. Fox - Baby Core by Vox - Blue - SanMai SPG2 Special Edition - CO-608BL - knife

With this exclusive edition of Coltelleria Collini in collaboration with Fox we have chosen to combine the pocket knife Baby Core by Vox with a Japanese powder steel (sintered) and rolled steel (SanMai) by Takefu Steel.

For this project we have chosen to use the Super Gold2 (SPG2) steel at 62/63HRC for the cutting edge of the blade in order to ensure exceptional cutting performance and durability of the sharpening, while ensuring a remarkable resilience and resistance to oxidation given by the lamination process of the blade.

    Intended Use: Sporting / Collection

    Production type: Industrial
    Country of Production: Italy
Blade: Rolled Japanese stainless steel (San Mai) with sintered cutting edge in SPG2 at 62/63HRC
    Blade Finish: Satin
Handle: FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) with stainless steel liners
    Blade length: 65mm.
    Blade thickness: 3mm.
    Length closed: 85m.
    Total length: 144mm.
    Thickness when closed: 14mm
    Weight: 79g.
Closure: Liner Lock in AISI 420 stainless steel
Clip: flush, AISI 302 stainless steel, removable and reversible
Packaging: Cardboard box with Fox Knives logos
Notes: Design by Jesper Voxnaes - Opening movement on ball bearings - Carson Flipper opening system - Exclusive version by Coltelleria Collini, Sprint Run, with Japanese Takefu Steel SPG2 Rolled Stainless Steel.

The rolled steel - imported in Italy by Collini Steel directly from the Japanese Takefu Steel - is based on the ancient Japanese tradition in the creation of the famous Samurai swords. As early as 1100, expert Japanese blacksmiths combined different materials to give Katana swords incredible cutting capabilities combined with previously unknown strength and flexibility. It is thanks to this revolutionary construction technique that the Samurai swords have been preserved until our days becoming one of the most fascinating objects made by man. Following this tradition applied to modern metallurgy, we are now able to have technologically advanced steels already tested and used in cutlery by famous brands such as Fallkniven, Cold Steel, Mcusta, Kai, Sog, Zwilling, Rockstead, etc.

    - Longer cutting edge life
thanks to the use of high quality steels with high carbon content (VG10, CoS, Shiro) or sintered (SPG2), in the core steel, the blade, once hardened, reaches hardness and cutting performances definitely higher than those reached with the use of traditional steels.

    - Greater resilience
Built on the principle of Japanese swords, the multilayer steel is difficult to break thanks to the toughness of the central steel (Core Steel) and the elasticity of the steel used for the lateral coating (Stainless Steel).

    - Improved corrosion resistance
The steel used for the outer layers (Stainless Steel) gives the blade a high resistance to corrosion. The combination of the two or more materials used by Takefu Steel generates, at a galvanic level, a structure that improves corrosion resistance even on the edge.

    - Easy machining even after heat treatment
Although steel normally becomes harder after hardening, the lateral steel used in multilayer machining does not lose its softness and allows easy machining, drilling or welding even after heat treatment. For optimum blade performance, cryogenic treatment is recommended.

    - Improved aesthetic performance
Knives made of multi-state steel or damask pattern at the end of the processing are aesthetically elegant, refined and highly appreciated by collectors all over the world.
