The Himalayan salt is extremely different from common table salt: it is refined and is not treated with any chemical process. It is compact crystals of pink color, rich in minerals, including iron. The coloration of gemstones is due precisely to the presence of this mineral and to the fact that do not undergo any bleaching treatment, as is the case in the common cooking salt. In pink salt it is also present as magnesium, trace element essential for our cells, which is instead removed from the common salt as guilty to absorb moisture and make the salt compact. Free of toxins and pollutants, the gems of Himalayan salt, at the time of extraction, have the same purity of when they are deposited in the ground millions of years ago. These crystals are extracted from the rock and cut into pieces or ground on site, to get to our tables untouched.
