WAF Corkscrews

The elegance of a gesture that can be found in everyday life as well as on important occasions.

Corking a bottle represents the encounter between the culture of drinking and the importance of a ritual.

Designed for the first patent in 1965, Waf corkscrews have reached an increasingly sophisticated level of technology over time, so much so that they are now considered a classic Italian wine article. An important itinerary, where the evolution of an object is realised in a gesture: uncorking a bottle of good wine with simplicity and safety.

Waf corkscrews are the only ones of their kind to have been designed and manufactured with these factors in mind, as well as for easy and safe cork extraction.

Extraction takes place vertically and progressively without any possibility of damaging the cork itself or leaving any residue.

Five steps to make a quality product.

To make the steel from the rod for Alexander cutlery, no less than five careful, time-consuming and expensive processing stages are required: 

forging from hot bars of stainless steel 

hot coining 

shearing of profile and interior 

roughing and bending 

tempering. In addition to the above steps, there are the normal finishing operations (mirroring, handle machining). The spoon is sober and slender in shape, with respect for functionality. Handcrafted forged cutlery in stainless steel, with a black bakelite handle polished by hand with mirror blades.

Mold For Ferratelle - Heart

Mold for pizzas, waffles and waffles. With this mold must be used for firing a flame and turn the mold and cook the cookie from both sides.

Depending on the mold can be sweet or savory different design, texture and thickness.

Recipe for waffles:  3 eggs, 150 grams of butter, 3 tablespoons sugar, 6 tablespoons flour, grated lemon zest, a pinch of salt  oil, icing sugar. Cream the butter until it is foamy, then incorporate the egg yolks, sugar, flour, a pinch of salt and the lemon zest. Mix well with a spatula. Whisk the egg whites until thick and add these to the mixture, stirring gently. Heat the mold and grease the plate with a little bit of oil. Closing the mold and cook on both sides of gas or electric stove. Remove the pod and roll on 'special wooden cone and let it cool. Once cooled you can fill with whipped cream and strawberries with jam, chocolate etc.

In addition to the above-mentioned phases, there are the normal finishing operations (mirroring, machining of the fork tines, machining of the handle). The tines of the forks, unlike those of stamped cutlery, are thin, hand-turned, close-set and pointed. Handcrafted forged cutlery in stainless steel, with a black bakelite handle polished by hand with mirror blades.

Cast iron teapots were invented in ancient China and later developed by the Japanese who made them both functional and decorative.

A specific treatment to the teapot allows cast iron impurities to be removed, and an additional enameling process protects its interior over the years.

Pour water at the right temperature for the chosen Tea.

Place the leaves in the filter. Respect the infusion time.

If you use the teapot to boil water, you should remove the filter while boiling and use a flame spreader to be placed between the teapot and the gas flame.

To make the best use of cast-iron teapots and make them last over time, it is advisable to precede the first use with this procedure: pour plenty of boiling water into the teapot, leave it there for a few minutes then throw it away. Repeat this 3-4 times, then dry the teapot with a cloth. Afterwards, it will be sufficient to remember never to wash it with detergent and to dry it immediately with a cloth after washing.

You should also avoid putting the cast iron teapot in contact with oil or salt because it may ruin the inner enamel.
