Harry Potter - Horcrux diary of Tom Marvolo Riddle

The diary of Tom Riddle 's diary containing the memoirs of a sixteen year old Tom Marvolo Riddle , the future Lord Voldemort , stored for many years until the meeting with Lucius Malfoy Harry Potter and the Weasley family in the library " The Ghirigoro ." Lucius puts this diary to Ginny Weasley in the bag ; she starts to read it and is possessed by the Dark Lord who uses it to open the Chamber of Secrets and unleash his basilisk and to write posts with the blood on the walls . Finally Voldemort wants to use the vital energy of the girl for himself back to life. The diary is destroyed by Harry with a basilisk fang , and returned (now nothing more than a relic ) Lucius Malfoy.

In the sixth book , Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince , it turns out that the diary was a Horcrux .
