The blades are carbon-hardened to a hardness of about 40 HRC after which, after being hammered by hand, the back and sides are covered with clay and the wire is tempered at 60 HRC to have excellent cutting capacity, penetration and flexibility. The blade is then polished and sharpened by hand on stone and the knife is finished in every single detail.

This reproduction of lakonia, directly copied from the book "the spartan army", was the main weapon of the Spartan army, known for its cruelty and ardor in battle.

The blade is handcrafted in high carbon steel while the handle is completely made of bronze. The sword is also accompanied by a wooden scabbard covered with hand-stitched brown leather with bronze studs.
