The Jungle King is a multipurpose knife produced by the Spanish Aitor for survival use. Thanks to the presence of a large amount of accessories and mini survival kits present in the sheath and in the handle, this knife is a perfect companion for outdoor use. In some areas of central and southern Italy, it was customary to give knives as engagement or wedding gifts, assigning the knife the task of sanctioning the love bond.

There was a strong identification between man and knife: the lover who gave such a gift to the woman symbolically offered himself, while the gift given to the man could be interpreted as an exhortation to virile valor.

Some specimens of this historical knife also served as protection against the evil eye, featuring the characteristic “dice eyes” on the handle, while the blades were traditionally engraved with decorative and symbolic elements.

The love knives were also indicative of the social class of the family: less wealthy couples, unable to afford very elaborate knives, sanctioned their love with simpler, less worked, and less expensive objects, but identical in values and meanings.

The brand Artigiano Scarperia was established in 2007 by two expert knife makers, Fabio Gasparrini and Alessandro Conti. For almost a decade, ATS-34 steel remained the first choice of custom knife manufacturers, before powder metallurgy steel took off in the 2000s. To mark the company's anniversary, Dietmar Pohl was able to obtain 'his' steel again in a very limited quantity and use it for the Classic Edition of the Bravo One / Two. The highly corrosion-resistant ATS-34 impresses with its exceptional sharpness and high edge retention.

With the new Compact models, designer Dietmar Pohl has developed a series of extremely robust and very compact knives for everyday use.

The focus is on the massive, classic Bowie blade of the Compact One, which is 88 millimeters long and designed to be enormously solid with a thickness of 6 mm. The well-known D2 tool steel was chosen for the blade's high cutting strength and resilience. The surface of the blade has a tactical, non-reflective TiNi titanium nitriding coating that provides excellent protection against external corrosives.

The reduced handle design is the basis for the knife's very compact size. The pleasantly rounded tang and cleverly designed finger recesses, in combination with the G-10 handle grips, which are also CNC milled, provide a good, secure grip. Distinctive grooves in the front area of the grip serve as an index finger and thumb rest.

The Pohl Force LAST BLOOD® CNC² Edition MK-9 is a perfectly designed knife in the eye-catching Spear Point style that looks like a modern, tactical tool in the unmistakable Pohl design.

Only strong and high quality materials are used for its manufacturing: the stainless steel 90Cr18MoV (440C) hardened at 57/58HRC gives the 23cm long and 6mm thick blade a high corrosion resistance and an excellent edge retention. The full tang construction is topped with a micarta handle that ends in an aesthetic element that can be used as a striking tool.

The micarta machining gives the handle a distinctive look with three-dimensional millings, and the handle and blade are visually connected by a CNC-milled guard machined from a solid block of stainless steel. A subhilt on the underside of the handle provides maximum control in handling the blade giving the MK-9 a distinctive look. It is completed by the ever-present knotted camouflage paracord lanyard that distinguishes all Pohl Force productions and matches exactly the same paracord used in the filming of the movie.
