For this purpose, he slaughtered the beast Sæhrimnir day after day, which was then resurrected at night to be eaten again the following day. A fleeting glance at Midgard (the Norse term for earth/world) would have elevated the chef's status even further in the eyes of the gods. This is because the knife craftsman Dirk Hofmeister knows like no other how to create mythical blades infused with Norse magic.

The Andhrimnir Mini bears the unmistakable hallmarks of Midgard's full tang constructed knives, with a 6mm thick Wharncliffe blade made of D2 in a two-tone finish with grooves on both sides and jimpings to ensure optimal functionality and maximum stability for all daily cutting tasks. The tang is continuous and protrudes a few millimeters from the end of the handle. This ensures maximum stability and the tang can withstand even powerful blows with a log or other object.

A branch of the company in Solingen was engaged in the production of knives including slipjoint, automatic knives, daggers, machetes, bowie, razors and kitchen knives. Over the years various brands and 22 patents held by the company have been created and thousands of pieces sold worldwide. Carl Schlieper was liquidated for bankruptcy in 1993. The production of the brand was subsequently acquired by Freidrich Olbertz in Solingen.

The Magnum Collection 2022 is an outdoor knife with an extremely robust drop point blade in satin D2. The screwable titanium handguard and the pronounced indentation of the fingers prevent involuntary blade slipping and thus safety at work. The OD green grip scales of the full tang construction are made of textured micarta and are held in place by decorative titanium screws. The combination of ergonomic design and pleasing shape also offers an exceptionally fuller grip feel. This unique collector's knife is strictly limited to 1999 pieces worldwide.
