Roman Ring with polished horn cattle R-RMC30A - knife

Antique knife initially in use in the Roman countryside, and then in Rome at the time of the papal city. Often, the rustic character of duels, it was designed primarily as a weapon. Knife without spring with a very characteristic line, representative of the peasant and pastoral civilization of the Bergamo valleys where it was made with a wooden handle. Practical and light, in its simplicity it is one of the most beautiful knives of the Italian tradition and has long been appreciated well outside its original area. It is proposed by Consiglio in a refined version, a horn tip model with a polished brass band.

This Pattada constitutes the now historical interpretation of the Sardinian knife made by Consiglio. The handle formed by two halves fixed with a row of rivets and the absence of a real spring are typical of the original model, but the line, the shape of the surfaces, the use of bovine horn are influenced by the Scarperian tradition. Consigli has long linked its business to supplies for Sardinia, so much so that their Pattada have now become "Sardinian by adoption".

Kukri - Gurkha Army

Nepal's national weapon and its Gurkha warriors are distinguished by their sharp curved blade in the lathe and the weight shift towards the tip that allows very effective gaiters. The grip is straight, no guard. Characteristic is the ricotta (kauri) and the leather sheath covered with two small knives (karda and chakmak).
