The sword of Ivanhoe, disinherited and exiled by his father Cedric the Saxon for swearing love to Lady Rowena.

The story narrated takes place in England in the year 1194, at the time of King Richard the Lionheart and the Crusades, in conjunction with the controversies that divide the Saxons and the Normans.

The Knight Wilfred of Ivanhoe, son of the Saxon noble Cedric, loves, in return, the young lady Rowena. Cedric contrasts the love between the two, as he has already politically decided to marry Rowena to Athelstane with the aim of returning after a long time, a Saxon lineage to the throne and tries to remove Ivanhoe, friend of the Norman king Riccardo Cuor of Leone.

The young man thus participates in the crusades, following Riccardo. John the Landless in the absence of his brother illegally appropriates the throne. Upon returning from the Crusades, Ivanhoe participates in a tournament in which he manages to win against all the champions affiliated with the usurper. The defeat weighs on the pride of the Norman nobility who will make him prisoner with his father Cedric, Rowena and Athelstane. King Richard with the help of Locksley (Robin Hood), will be able to free them, so that Ivanhoe will be able to marry Lady Rowena.

In some parts of the novel, the way in which hatred and envy are manifested towards Isaac of York and his daughter Rebecca, this denotes the anti-Semitism already present in the period under consideration, far in advance of what it happened in the last century of the twentieth century. Reproduction of the Italian Renaissance dagger potentially worn on the belt by Lorenzo de 'Medici. Said Lorenzo the Magnificent (Florence, 1 January 1449 - Careggi, 8 April 1492), he was lord of Florence from 1469 to his death, the third of the Medici dynasty. He was also a writer, patron, poet and humanist, as well as one of the most significant politicians of the Renaissance, both for having incarnated the ideal of the humanist prince, and for the very careful management of power.

The cut-free dagger on both sides is made of carbon steel, with precise and accurate workmanship and leather finishes. The hilt and the knob are in steel and the handle is covered in soft black leather. Comes with a leather sheath and steel fittings.

Although iron was a tougher material than bronze it would frequently bend. Damascus, or pattern welded steel, was used to make the blade strong enough to withstand the rigors of combat. Early Viking swords were forged from layers of iron interwoven with strands of steel to produce a very tough sword. This sword is based on an original circa 850-900 AD sword discovered in Finland. The Damascus Viking Sword is made of high carbon Damascus steel. The blade is polished with the fuller acid etched to bring out the beautiful Damascus pattern. The pommel and crossguard are made of solid steel and the grip is leather wrapped wood. Includes a matching wood scabbard with a black leather covering and steel mounts. A very nice example of a true Viking sword.

Marto - Antique effect Celtic Dagger - Dagger historical

A peculiar characteristic of Celtic swords was the handle in the form of "X", otherwise known as anthropomorphic handle. The arms of the X constituted the lower limbs (wrapped around the "strength" of the blade) and higher than a human male whose head stood in the spot usually occupied by the knob. In the oldest specimens (sixth century BC), the anthropomorphic shape was very strong, with the "arms" of the man-handle raised in a praying position, almost forming a trident.

One-handed sword used by the ancient Greeks.
It was the primary weapon in the battlefield for the Greek armies along with the spear or javelin.
The blade was about two feet long.
The xiphos were good for both cutting and tip attacks thanks to the leaf shape of the blade.
It was generally used only when the spear was abandoned. The straight, double-edged design of the xiphos gave them the same general versatility found in swords used by infantry until firearms displaced the sword on the battlefield.
Its design lent itself to cutting and pushing.
