The manufacture of self-illuminating trigalight® is the result of decades of research and development: trigalight® illuminates clocks without the need for external power or sunlight; shines up to 25 years and requires no maintenance.

How does trigalight® work? It uses glass tubes lined internally with phosphorus powder that are filled with tritium gas isotope of hydrogen gas and sealed with lasers in order to create a vacuum. When the phosphorus powder is exposed to the electrons of the tritium gas, the phosphorus undergoes an excitation phase and is able to emit a light of different intesity of visible color both with low luminosity and in complete darkness.
