The Gerber BMF (Basic Multi-Function) is a fixed blade knife produced by Gerber Legendary Blades between 1986 and the late 1990s. Produced in Olean, NY, in collaboration with the skilled people at KA-BAR knives, the Spartan-Harsey Kukri knife has been designed to be a highly durable hiking knife. The kukri features a blade of over 22cm, making it an all-around tool due to its center of mass, allowing the user to slice while cutting to even penetrate thick objects.

While this blade is primarily famous for its military use, the kukri is more commonly employed as a multi-purpose tool in fields and homes across Nepal. Its uses range from construction, clearing, cutting firewood, digging, butchering animals for food, slicing meat and vegetables, skinning animals, to opening cans.

It can function as a smaller knife using the narrower part of the blade closer to the handle. The heavier and wider end of the blade, towards the tip, functions as a hatchet or a small shovel.

Knife handcrafted by Master C.IC. (Corporazione Italiana Coltellinai - Italian Knife-makers Guild) Livio Montagna. Excellent reproduction of one of the most iconic knives ever: the classic Bowie. A knife created by Rezin Bowie in the early 19th century for his brother Jim Bowie, the famous American pioneer whose rather reckless life is now shrouded in legend.

Livio Montagna's excellent craftsmanship does justice to this piece of history with its classic and timeless stylistic features: the double guard, the clip point blade, the handle in natural material.
