Lord Voldemort (/ˈvoʊldəmɔːr/, or /ˈvoʊldəmɔːrt/ in the films) (born Tom Marvolo Riddle) is a fictional character and the central main antagonist in J. K. Rowling's series of Harry Potter novels. Voldemort first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was released in 1997. Voldemort appears either in person or in flashbacks in each book and its film adaptation in the series, except the third, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where he is only mentioned. Voldemort is the archenemy of Harry Potter, who according to a prophecy has "the power to vanquish the Dark Lord". Nearly every witch or wizard dares not utter his unmentionable name, and refers to him instead with such expressions as "You-Know-Who", "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" or "the Dark Lord". Voldemort's obsession with blood purity signifies his aim to rid the wizarding world of Muggle (non-magical) heritage and to conquer both worlds, Muggle and wizarding, to achieve pure-blood dominance. Through his mother's family, he is the last descendant of wizard Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is the leader of the Death Eaters, a group of evil wizards and witches dedicated to ridding the Wizarding World of Muggles and establishing Voldemort as its supreme ruler. According to Rowling, the 't' in "Voldemort" is silent, as it is in the French word for death, "mort". Jim Dale pronounced it so in the first four US audiobooks, yet the characters in the film version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone pronounced the "t" — after which Dale changed his audiobook pronunciation accordingly.

He was mentioned by Rubeus Hagrid in the first novel, but did not appear until the third in the series, The Prisoner of Azkaban.

The collaboration between the writer Nicolai Lilin and Knives Maserin was born on 987 Siberian Knife. Severus Snape is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. An exceptionally skilful wizard, his coldly sarcastic and controlled exterior conceals deep emotions and anguish. A Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Snape is hostile to the series' protagonist, Harry, the moment he sets foot in Snape's classroom; this hostility is rooted in Harry's resemblance to Harry's father James, who bullied and harassed Snape during their time at Hogwarts. Il Decumano Est il distretto orientale della Contea che si estende dalla Pietra dei Tre Decumani fino al corso del Brandivino.

Per gli Hobbit della Contea, il Brandivino fu sempre considerato come il confine tra il conosciuto e lo sconosciuto, e spesso coloro che vivevano nella Terra di Buck, anche se sulla sponda opposta, venivano considerati "strani".

Il nome Brandivino o Baranduin una parola sindarin che significa "fiume marrone dorato". Gli Hobbit della Contea gli diedero originariamente il nome di Branda-nn, "acqua di confine" nell'originale linguaggio Hobbitish. Questi cambi pi avanti ancora una volta il suo nome, diventando Bralda-hm, "birra inebriante" (nome, anche questo come quello sindarin, riferito al colore spesso marrone delle sue acque), che Tolkien rese in inglese con "Brandywine", diventato per traslitterazione Brandivino in italiano.

Nel Decumano Est sorgono le regioni dello Iale, la Palude, Terminalbosco, Campoponte e parte del Paese delle Verdi Colline; villaggi come Boschesi, Tassitani, Scary, Chianarana, Fossobianco, Scorta, Sirte, Fondangolo e Valsalice. Inoltre vi scorrevano l'Acqua, il Rio Cardo, il Rivo Lucente e il Rivo di Scorta.

Gli Hobbit del Decumano Est sono in gran parte di sangue Sturoi: grossi, con gambe pesanti e molti si fanno crescere una tipica barbetta. Inoltre, a quanto pare, furono i primi a creare fattorie e granai (nella Palude e lungo il Brandivino).
