Sobral Brothers / CAS Knives - 8" Andes Fighter Bowie San-Mai - PRIVATE COLLECTION - handmade knife
KNIFE WITHDRAWN FROM PRIVATE COLLECTION
* Origin: Withdrawn from a private collection, previously purchased
* Condition: Never used, never removed from its sheath, never displayed; as it is a carbon blade and has remained in its sheath for a long time, it has unfortunately developed small spots of oxidation on the blade, which can be easily removed with a potential re-sharpening. However, it is not possible to remove the oxidation present on the passivating oxidation of the hamon. The price at which it is offered takes into account these aesthetic details, which in no way compromise its potential practical use.
* Available on the market: unique piece, entirely handmade
* Sharpening: Factory
* Marks on blade: small spots of oxidation, some potentially removable (those on the edge and tip of the blade)
* Marks on handle: None

Trail Master in 52100 steel – Essential reliability for the toughest outdoor conditions

Tops - CUMA Tak-Ri 3.5 - Tactical Kukri - Green Canvas Micarta - Knife
The CUMA Tak-Ri 3.5 is not your typical kukri. In fact, you have to understand what a Gurkha Kukri is to see the curve of its blade. The kukri (Devnagari/ खुकुरी), originally spelled khukri or khukuri, is a Nepalese curved knife. It is a traditional weapon of the Nepali people and also a weapon of choice/side arm for all Nepalis, including those serving in various armies around the world, but with the CUMA Tak-Ri we have gone further!
Once you have the CUMA Tak-Ri in your hands, you will quickly realize that it is "tough to the core." In fact, the Tak-Ri caused such a stir at the 2011 SHOT Show that Lou Ferrigno (the historic "Incredible Hulk") pre-ordered his directly at the TOPS Knives booth.

ExtremaRatio - Selvans Expeditions - Heavy Utility Survival Knife - knife
Selvans Expeditions, as well as the Selvans model from which it derives, was born from the collaboration between Extrema Ratio and the Master instructor F.I.S.S. (Federazione Italiana Survival Sportivo e Sperimentale) Daniele Dal Canto. This tool is the result of the modification of the ONTOS, military survival knife, realized in order to accentuate and maximize the performance of the knife.
Selvans Expeditions uses Böhler N690 steel heat treated to 58 HRC with MIL-C-13924 burnishing and stone washed surface treatment (Dark Stone finish). The handle has been lengthened and the blade weighted to promote effective cutting strokes. It comes with a desert Cordura sheath with MOLLE system, equipped with a mini pouch containing paracord with flammable filament that can be used in case of emergency and/or critical weather conditions and a Firesteel for lighting fires.

ExtremaRatio - Kreios Expeditions - Heavy Utility Machete - Knife
Kreios Expeditions, as well as the Kreios model from which it derives, has been designed and developed thanks to the collaboration with the Master instructor F.I.S.S. (Federazione Italiana Survival Sportivo e Sperimentale) Daniele Dal Canto. It is defined by its creator as a sort of "off the road" of cutting tools, therefore not a specific disposable tool, but a multi-tasking tool, extremely versatile and designed to cope with many uses.
Thanks to its ergonomics, weight and size, Kreios Expeditions is suitable to open gaps in the thick vegetation, especially where it is necessary to take distance, for safety reasons, from thorny or harmful essences. Thanks to its robustness, it is an effective machete even in the heaviest field work. Combining the 32 cm of the "full flat" cutting edge, the 11° forward inclination of the blade and the 630 gr. of its weight, you get a tool with extraordinary cutting capabilities that does not fear bending.
Kreios Expeditions brings modern geometry and materials combined with the lines and effectiveness of blades typical of the Malaysian and African tradition, creating an ideal tool for field work but also, if necessary, for defense/offense. Kreios Expeditions is equipped with a desert color forprene handle and a BÖHLER N690 (58HRC) steel blade with MIL-C-13924 burnishing and stone washed surface finish (Dark Stone finish). It is supplied with a desert Cordura sheath with MOLLE system and strap for safety carry, equipped with a mini pouch containing paracord with flammable filament to be used in case of emergency and/or critical weather conditions and a Firesteel for lighting fires.

Buck - 184 Buckmaster - 1986 Vintage Iconic Knife - PRIVATE COLLECTION - knife
KNIFE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED, FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION
* Provenance: Acquired from a private individual, previously purchased
* Condition: Overall in excellent condition; shows no signs of actual use. The sheath is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of abrasion and no breaks or sagging. It comes with an additional nylon pocket with Velcro that contains the original vintage oil-lubricated compass.

* Marks on the blade: Several superficial abrasion marks left by the sheath, typical of this particular knife model

* Box: -
* Sheath: Present, in excellent condition, with an additional nylon pocket containing the original period oil-filled compass

The most distinctive—and patented—feature of the Buckmaster Buck 184 is the presence of two removable, screw-mounted harpoons, or hooks. Their primary function is to provide an anchor point: the knife can, in fact, be used as a sort of throwing hook by attaching a rope to the ring on the pommel. The manufacturer claimed the grappling hooks had a holding capacity of up to 600 pounds.In the case of the Navy SEALs, the requirement was for a knife that could also be used underwater and, if necessary, allow for the anchoring of equipment or vehicles to a submerged anchor point. This specific requirement contributed to the choice of an all-steel construction, designed to offer strength and durability even under harsh underwater operating conditions.

* Checked and Certified by our in-house laboratoryThe Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, then Head of Operations for the Silent Heroes Foundation Special Interdiction Unit, whose mission was to fight poaching in South Africa. This knife needed to be durable, versatile, and able to withstand field use — requirements that shaped the design of both the blade and the handle. It is built to handle heavy-duty tasks.
The ergonomic handle ensures a secure grip. The hole in the lower guard branch can be used to attach the knife to a stick or pole when needed.
The blade features a finger choil that allows for a firm grip and precise control for detailed cuts. Its recurved tip design makes the knife ideal for slicing while providing extra tip strength. This makes it perfect for bushcraft, survival, and tactical applications.
The black leather sheath is robust and complements the knife perfectly.

Jimmy Lile (1933–1991), known as “The Arkansas Knifesmith,” was one of the most important American knife makers of the 20th century. Born in Russellville, Arkansas, he made his first knife at the age of 11 and devoted himself professionally to knife making in 1971.He is famous for the legendary Rambo knives, designed for real use with 440C blades, hollow handles, and innovative details. He was president of the Knifemakers' Guild, and his works were commissioned by presidents and celebrities.
He died in 1991, leaving a legacy of the highest caliber in custom and collectible knives.
THE PRESENT
Today, the Lile Knives, LLC brand is owned by John Hill of McKinney, Texas. In the 1980s, John was already collaborating with Bob Rankin on the sale of original Rambo knives, and in 2003 he co-authored a book dedicated to Lile's work.After Jimmy's death, John maintained a strong relationship with Marilyn (Lile) Miller and purchased the Lile brand from her to continue producing high-quality replicas of the movie knives, adhering to custom knife standards and guaranteeing Marilyn royalties.
Since 2011, John Hill has been collaborating with Vaughn Neeley, former owner of Timberline Knives, to produce limited editions of Rambo knives that are prized by collectors. Today, Vaughn produces the entire new “Cerakote™ Series,” while the “Utility Series” is produced under his supervision, keeping alive the tradition and quality of Jimmy Lile's original models.

Puma 6356 Original Bowie - A Unique Collector's KnifeThe Puma 12 6356 is a remarkable vintage hunting knife known for its sturdiness, quality workmanship and excellent durability. Made in Germany from Pumaster steel, a high-performance alloy steel, this knife offers an ideal combination of hardness, wear resistance, and reliability. Pumaster approaches the performance of modern steels such as D2, with a similar composition that includes good carbon and chromium content. Although it does not reach the hardness of modern ultra-high performance steels, Pumaster is still able to maintain an exceptional edge over the long term, showing superior corrosion resistance compared to pure carbon steels such as 1095 or C75.
With a blade measuring nearly 10 inches long and an overall length of more than 15 inches, the Puma 12 6356 is an imposing knife that does not go unnoticed. Its nickel silver through-guard and rosewood handle give the knife a sophisticated look, while the quality of its craftsmanship ensures durable performance.
This specimen, which appears to have never been used, is in excellent condition and is complete with its original box and leather sheath - special feature of the latter is that it is still marked “Western Germany,” which dates it pre-1986.
It is an ideal choice for any collector. Not only a high-quality hunting knife, but a true collector's item for fans of vintage Puma items.

Gustavus Ferdinand von Tempsky (1828-1868) was a German-born adventurer, soldier and artist, known for his role in the New Zealand Wars and for his leadership among the Forest Rangers. His adventurous life and courage made him a legendary figure, particularly in the context of battles between European settlers and Māori peoples.
He learned the advantages of Bowie knife fighting in California during his stint as a prospector, where he had acquired an excellent American-made knife; once he arrived in New Zealand and found himself in charge of Forest Ranger Company No. 2 with the rank of major, he had about 30 Bowie knives made for his men according to his personal design by a blacksmith in Shortland St. Auckland. The Forest Rangers were an elite corps of mounted scouts employed by the colonial government between August 1863 and October 1867 during the New Zealand Wars.
At the time, knives were made of wagon spring steel, one of the few steels available to blacksmiths in Auckland in 1863, and Von Tempsky, an experienced fighter, taught his men the use of the Bowie knife in hand-to-hand combat. The knife was used to defend against enemy blows while a pistol was usually held in the other hand.
In addition to combat, Bowie knives were used to open paths in the forest, dig defensive positions, cut firewood, and for general use while camping.

ExtremaRatio - Mato Grosso Satin - Machete - Knife
The name "Mato Grosso," comes from Portuguese and means "dense bush," recalling the South American region of the same name. This machete is specially designed to cut through the dense vegetation of tropical forests due to its long, narrow blade. It can be used to cut tall, dense grass, thin vegetation, cut branches and open paths in the most inaccessible forests.
Its forprene handle makes it easy to use. The drop blade, milled from Böhler N690 steel hardened to 58 HRC for the best balance of edge hold and strength, is 309 mm long, 4 mm thick and has a flat edge.
Mato Grosso comes with a black Cordura sheath equipped with an M.O.L.L.E. system that allows it to be carried on tactical vests and belts.

ExtremaRatio - KH Satin - Kukri Machete - knife
A well-motivated classic. The "kukri," the Nepalese multi-purpose tool made famous by Rgt. Gurka, in the service of His Britannic Majesty and derived from ancient Greek falcate swords.
The blade of this machete has differentiated roundings. Near the handle the blade is razor rounded so that a narrow sharpening angle can be achieved without unduly affecting the thickness of the back material, which must remain solid. The rounding at the end of the blade, on the other hand, is flat and well angled so as to effortlessly penetrate wood and vegetation.
Usually these kinds of tools are made of soft steel to be more elastic and more easily resharpened. Extrema Ratio has succeeded in obtaining an elastic tool with a decidedly long-lived and durable sharpening by using instead a hard steel such as BÖHLER N690. This machete comes with a thigh scabbard with black Cordura storage pocket and safety carry strap.
Intended Use: Tactical/Military
Blade: N690Co 58HRC stainless steel
