With the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC, American knife maker Lucas Burnley embodies the idea of the Japanese Kihon. The term originally encapsulated the fundamentals and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley concretizes in a solid everyday knife. The drop-point blade in D2 opens smoothly thanks to the removable pin on both sides by means of ball bearings, while the crossbar lock ensures intuitive, safe and convenient release of the knife. The non-slip handle with textured squares is made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon and fits comfortably in the hand. The black color gives the Kihon an understated appearance. The 2.0 versions of the popular model are also suitable as a lightweight full-size EDC due to the 15 percent weight reduction.
