  1. Due Cigni - Mincing Knife - 2C740/16

The Due Cigni 2C740/16 kitchen mezzaluna is a curved-blade kitchen tool designed primarily for chopping and mincing aromatic herbs, vegetables, fruit, nuts and other food ingredients. Its characteristic curved shape allows ingredients to be worked with a rocking motion, applying even and controlled pressure during cutting.

Thanks to its particular shape, the mezzaluna is a versatile and efficient kitchen tool, particularly suitable for preparing sauces, dressings, pesto, salads and many other recipes. The rocking motion of the blade allows ingredients to be finely and evenly chopped in a short time, directly on the cutting board.

The mezzaluna is a traditional kitchen tool used in many culinary traditions and provides a practical and quick way to prepare fresh ingredients. It is widely used in both professional and home kitchens to simplify and speed up food preparation.

The Due Cigni 2C740/16 belongs to the Classica line, a collection of knives featuring blades cut by laser from a single sheet of steel. This manufacturing process results in lightweight knives designed for prolonged use in the kitchen, helping to reduce fatigue in the hand and wrist.

Classica knives are characterized by a ductile and flexible construction, are easy to sharpen and are designed to provide good durability over time at an affordable price. The Due Cigni 2C740/16 combines the traditional functionality of a mezzaluna with the construction characteristics of the Classica line.

Kitchen Accessories FAQ

What is the best cutting board to protect knives?

The best materials are natural wood (which "absorbs" the cut) and composite materials made of wood fiber and resin, hygienic and gentle on the edge. Always avoid glass, marble, or granite: they irreversibly ruin the blade.

How often should kitchen knives be sharpened?

For home use, the edge should be regularly refreshed with a honing steel or strop. A complete resharpening on a stone or Horl system is recommended every 3–6 months, depending on the frequency and type of use.
