Laboratory Notes:

Organoleptic analysis: the wine poured into the glass through the glass decanter, with its characteristic amphora shape, "centellino" is recognised as different from the wine poured directly into the glass at a 95% confidence level by a panel of 6 expert tasters subjected to a trianolar test.

Wine passed through centellino is described as "more open, cleaner, more harmonious". People have been talking about the centello, or ciantello, or centellino, since ancient times. The Latins called it cyatulus, diminutive of cyatus, from the Greek Kyathos from Kyo 'to pour'. An object with which precious and ancient ambrosias and spirits were poured. Later, the centellino, in the ancient post in the form of a kind of spoon, was used to pour an intoxicating sip of wine.
