  1. Higonokami - Kanekoma knife - Black Medium Pocket Knife Japan

Charming knife used by the Japanese farmer.

As is typical for many agricultural implements, this Japanese knife is also extremely simple but the result of a centuries-old improvement that has found the difficult balance between form and function, and between cost and benefit.

The main feature is certainly the quality of the blade, in fact it uses a three-layer San Mai steel, of which the very hard one in the center.

It has a razor wire, as befits a tool created to cut and not just to be displayed in display cases.

Blade: San Mai carbon steel - Yasuki Steel Blue Paper Steel 62hrc in clad
    Handle: iron foil
    Closing: without blade lock
    Length closed: 11mm.
    Blade length: 72mm.
    Blade thickness: 2.7mm

  37. Takeshi Saji - Kurosameshotou traditional knife - handmade knife

Takeshi Saji was born in 1948 in Takefu (Fukui prefecture), a city located roughly in the center of Japan and in the heart of an area for centuries devoted to the production of blades. His workshop is still there, built around the oven thanks to which, for several years now, Takeshi Saji has been forging steel (especially damascus) with which he makes various models of traditional Japanese knives. The choice of materials for the finishes (mainly natural), the essential lines - evocative of use - and the chromatic combinations of rare impact make his creations unique and unmistakable in the panorama of world cutlery and, at home, they have earned him the prestigious title of Master.

  38. Takeshi Saji - Kiridashi Seiryu - custom knife

Mcusta, a Marusho Industry brand from Seki, is known for advanced-production folders finished by hand and for the balance between industrial precision and traditional Japanese taste. In the MC-0033D, the Take theme, meaning bamboo, places the model in the mid-to-high-end gentleman EDC segment: more refined than a purely utilitarian folder, yet still fully functional thanks to the VG-10 core Damascus blade, liner lock and reversible clip.
