The Temperance 2 is Spyderco's answer to the need for a medium-sized fixed blade knife for heavy-duty use. Designed in-house by Sal Glesser for camping, general use, and MBC (Martial Blade Craft), this versatile knife also has a place in the kitchen, where Sal himself uses it both indoors and outdoors.

Made from high-quality VG-10 stainless steel, it features a thick, wide blade with a spear-point profile and flat grind on both sides for excellent cutting performance. The knurling on the spine and finger choil ensure maximum control and precision, while the sturdy construction makes it ideal for survival, hunting, camping, and food preparation.

The Canvas Micarta handle provides a secure grip, excellent grip, and quick indexing during MBC techniques. The flat pommel acts as a leverage point for the thumb in reverse or rearward grips. The Temperance 2 comes with a Boltaron sheath and 5-position Tek-Lok for versatile carry.

Bud Nealy's MCS II System knives are designed to be compact and lightweight, with a focus on low weight. The MCS System, developed in the 1980s, offers great versatility in carrying thanks to a Kydex sheath that can be adapted with five different attachments (included), allowing nine carrying positions. Ambidextrous use of the system is possible.

The MCS System has been improved with the MCS II, which incorporates 3M Dual Lock attachment systems with five times the adhesion strength of classic Velcro. The Hisshou, meaning “certain victory,” is the modern incarnation of the Samurai fighting sword. Designed by James Williams, it is a specialized tool intended for military personnel and special forces operators. James developed this design to meet the specific demands of coalition forces abroad, who needed a more powerful tactical tool than his already widely used Hissatsu from CRKT.

Historically, military swords have been designed according to the combat environment. Long swords, such as the English broadsword and the Japanese katana, were primarily used in open battlefields. Enclosed or confined combat required shorter swords, such as the sailor's machete and the Japanese wakizashi, close in size to the Hisshou.

This is a smaller version of Bo Randall's original knife, made in the Scagel knife style. 12.2 cm blade made of 4.5 mm thick stainless steel. This size and shape are popular with outdoor activity experts worldwide. It has a nickel silver guard and back cap and a handle made of authentic Indian deer antler. It weighs about 168 grams and comes with a brown leather sheath.

Company History.
In 1938, Rudy Ruana began making knives in a small store in Montana. Members of his family continue to this day to handcraft Ruana knives in the same store. In 1964 Ruana's son-in-law, Vic Hangas, left a job with a telephone company and put his artistic talents to good use, joining Ruana in the business. Hangas' son Mark began working in the business in 1976. In 1983, Ruana retired at the age of 80 and sold the business to the Hangas family. In 1984 Mike Hangas joined his brother and father and the company was incorporated. Rudy Ruana died in April 1986. He was honored with posthumous induction into the American Bladesmith Society's Hall of Fame in 1997 and Blade magazine's Cutlery Hall of Fame in 2002.

Ruana knives are still handmade in the small Montana store where Rudy Ruana began forging blades more than 80 years ago. In an era of outsourcing and diminishing Made in America products, Ruana knives are still handmade in the United States, with a focus on quality rather than quantity. Although some things have changed over the years, still using the same methods and much of the same equipment used by Rudy Ruana.

Knife withdrawn from a private collection. Produced in 2008, it was born from the collaboration between Buck and Simonich Knives. The result is a sturdy, yet handy full tang tactical knife.
Overall in excellent condition - Checked and certified by our in-house Coltelleria Collini laboratory, it comes complete with original box.
