The “Shop Built” line by Ansø of Denmark was created to offer Jens Ansø's original designs in a more accessible and reproducible form than his custom knives, which are traditionally produced in extremely limited quantities. All “Shop Built” models are designed by Jens Ansø in Denmark and made by his team of skilled craftsmen, who take care of every stage of production with great attention to detail.

This product range maintains the same design philosophy, build quality, and craftsmanship that have made Ansø's work famous, but with a more structured and sustainable production process, designed to satisfy a wider audience without compromising on high-quality materials and finishes.

The AROS model

The AROS is a compact and versatile folding knife, designed as a utility tool for everyday use (EDC). Designed by Jens Ansø, it stands out for its unique design and precision engineering, designed to offer superior performance in everyday activities: from opening packages to more controlled cutting and carving.

The AROS features an innovative integral monoblock frame on each side, incorporating pivot screws, button lock, clip, and lanyard hole in a single precision-machined piece. The two parts of the handle are securely joined with titanium screws on the back, ensuring strength and a clean line.

The 2.5-inch (64 mm) blade now features a hollow grind, a new feature that further improves cutting capabilities while maintaining a slim and elegant profile. The flipper tab is designed to ensure quick opening and, once open, also functions as finger protection. The careful shaping of the blade tang contributes to a comfortable and secure grip, confirming Ansø's focus on functionality and user experience.

The NANO is the new hi-tech family knife, ideal for everyday use. The satin-finished CPM MagnaCut steel blade offers high performance, while the “ReF” (Removable Flipper) system and Double Crown ball bearings ensure smooth and customizable operation.

The Solida titanium clip is reversible for left-handed users. Titanium locking bar reinforced with hardened steel ensures durability. The flipper can be removed and replaced with a second “cap” screw to suit individual needs.
