Lightweight design, pulsating dynamics, boundless appeal: this exclusive special version redefines the laws of the EDC universe while staying true to traditional values - in a word: BRLW.Indifferent to the 150 years of history behind it, this sleek pocket knife takes the iconic Boker Barlow into the future with contemporary spirit and premium materials. The clip-point blade on ball bearings is hand-forged by Chad Nichols from authentic meteorite damascus, a combination of meteoritic iron and carbon steel, featuring the extraordinary “Mosaic Crossed Damascus” pattern.
The precision-milled titanium handle harmoniously complements the design: at the front it recalls the elongated bolster of classic Barlows, while at the back the irregular texture evokes the surface of a meteorite, while offering a pleasant, secure grip. The integrated framelock with hardened steel insert ensures a reliable lock. The discreet concealed flipper, flat titanium clip (tip-up, right side), backstrap, and pivot screw embellished with the Boker tree symbol complete the package.

Boker - Barlow - Tirpitz Damascus - Slipjoint EDC - 117942DAM - Knife
The great interest in Tirpitz-Damast damask over the years has convinced Boker to design another model supplied with the historic damask steel. The Boker Barlow Prime Tirpitz Damascus, much more compact than the original model, convinces not only in the collector's showcase, but also as a gentleman's knife. The blade made in the exclusive Tirpitz Damascus, is supplied with a modern elongated ricasso and opens with a nail notch. Damascus made with the material acquired from Tirpitz, sister ship of the legendary Bismarck which was the largest warship ever launched for the German Navy.
Soon after the end of World War II, a Norwegian specialist company began cannibalizing the ship, which sank off the Norwegian coast, in order to make the high-alloy steel available for civilian purposes. Norwegian divers recovered parts of Tirpitz's special armor from the fjord for Boker. From these pieces of living history, Damascus blacksmith Boker exclusively forges an extraordinary damask with a fascinating history. The combination of Tirpitz steel with carbon tool steels also results in an extremely strong Damascus which, with a Rockwell hardness of 61 to 63 HRC, is up to any task in everyday use.
The operational safety of the history-rich slipjoint pocket knife is further enhanced by a 90 degree locking mechanism when opening and closing. The characteristic teardrop shape of the Barlow is attributable to the English pocket knives of the seventeenth century, which certainly makes it one of the oldest models ever. The name of the classic probably dates back to an enterprising knife manufacturer from Sheffield of the same name, who began exporting the sturdy knives to North America around 1800. There they immediately enjoyed great popularity and so the first Barlow models also appeared in the history of the Boker Manufactory. Solingen at the end of the 19th century.
