Straight to the point

The Straight is a sturdy frame lock blade designed by artisan blacksmith T.J. Schwarz. Inspired by the small classic pocket knives his cowboy father carried, but with modern lines and materials.

With an overall length of just over six inches, the Straight features a textured G10 handle for a secure grip and a versatile Wharncliffe-shaped blade made of D2 steel with a razor-sharp tip. The convenient thumb pivot along with the IKBS ball-bearing pivot system allow the blade to be opened smoothly with one hand, while the frame lock closure keeps it firmly open during use.

The all-black design is an homage to the family name, as “Schwarz” means “black” in German.

It may be small, but just like the upgraded 4x4 vehicles that inspired its name, the Overland Compact is exaggeratedly built and ready to tackle the toughest conditions. It takes the design cues and materials of the full-size Overland and puts them into an ultraportable format that practically disappears into a pocket. When it's time to stop the convoy and set up camp, this knife can prepare light food and chop up the perfect marshmallow stick.
