Inspired by the breathtaking landscape and craft traditions of Mora, “Color of the Year” celebrates the uniqueness of Dalarna, a region in the heart of Sweden famous for its history, craftsmanship and iconic colors.

Dalarna is known for its Dala horses, traditional red houses and kurbits painting, which symbolize Swedish art, nature and cultural roots.

Each year, we select colors that capture the essence of this land, from the intense tones of the Dala horses to the delicate hues of the crafts. “Color of the Year” goes beyond aesthetics, creating a deep connection between our land and each craft knife, which becomes a symbol of tradition, culture and innovation.
