Dovo - 715-556 Plain Hair Shear SS 5 1/2″ plus finger rest

The stainless steel Dovo 715-556 plain hair shear SS measures 5 1/2″ plus the 1/2″ detachable finger rest. These hair shears have plain-edged blades, which are not as sharp as razor-edge blades, but are also much less delicate. They have a black insert for finger comfort.

This hair scissor is forged by Dovo in Solingen, Germany. Forging makes the metal stronger so the hair shears are strong, but not bulky, and they will stay sharp longer. These hair shears are stainless steel, so they will not rust in moist conditions and can be sterilized in an autoclave sterilizer. They might be more properly termed “stain resistant,” since they could possibly stain under greatly adverse conditions. The stains are not rust and will not affect their quality performance. This Dovo 715-556 plain hair shear SS 5 1/2″ plus the 1/2″ length of the detachable finger rest. Dovo calls this a 5 1/2″ hair shear. Dovo defines the length of a hair shear depending on whether or not the finger rest is attached. If the finger rest is detachable, the length of the hair shear that is written on the blade does NOT include the length of the finger rest. If the finger rest is attached as part of the hair shear, the length that is written on the blade will include the length of the finger rest as part of the total length of the hair shear.
