The AROS is a compact and versatile folding knife, designed as a utility tool for everyday use (EDC). The Kikyo motif represents the bellflower, known in Japan as Kikyo or “bellflower.” This flower is a symbol of sincerity, eternal love, and protection. Used in the Sengoku period by the Akechi clan, it is now often used in Japanese decorative arts as an ornamental motif to evoke purity and harmony. The great interest in Tirpitz-Damast damask over the years has convinced Boker to design another model supplied with the historic damask steel. The Boker Barlow Prime Tirpitz Damascus, much more compact than the original model, convinces not only in the collector's showcase, but also as a gentleman's knife. The blade made in the exclusive Tirpitz Damascus, is supplied with a modern elongated ricasso and opens with a nail notch. Damascus made with the material acquired from Tirpitz, sister ship of the legendary Bismarck which was the largest warship ever launched for the German Navy.

Soon after the end of World War II, a Norwegian specialist company began cannibalizing the ship, which sank off the Norwegian coast, in order to make the high-alloy steel available for civilian purposes. Norwegian divers recovered parts of Tirpitz's special armor from the fjord for Boker. From these pieces of living history, Damascus blacksmith Boker exclusively forges an extraordinary damask with a fascinating history. The combination of Tirpitz steel with carbon tool steels also results in an extremely strong Damascus which, with a Rockwell hardness of 61 to 63 HRC, is up to any task in everyday use.

The operational safety of the history-rich slipjoint pocket knife is further enhanced by a 90 degree locking mechanism when opening and closing. The characteristic teardrop shape of the Barlow is attributable to the English pocket knives of the seventeenth century, which certainly makes it one of the oldest models ever. The name of the classic probably dates back to an enterprising knife manufacturer from Sheffield of the same name, who began exporting the sturdy knives to North America around 1800. There they immediately enjoyed great popularity and so the first Barlow models also appeared in the history of the Boker Manufactory. Solingen at the end of the 19th century.

This integral version of the timeless classic with a contoured black micarta handle body, which is milled from solid and also forms the signature Barlow bolsters. neither. Handmade in the Boker knife factory in Solingen.

W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company was created at the beginning of the century, at a time when pocket knives were as indispensable as a watch. Over the years the company has established itself as a leading company in the market launch of new materials and innovative designs.

The company's roots date back to 1889, when enterprising brothers, William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John and Andrew, in the Case family began selling craft knives from the back of a van in northern New York. In January 1900, the brothers formed the Case Brothers Cutlery Company, thus founding the first family brand Case.

J.R. Case, which he called the company with the name of his father, W.R., formed the W.R. Case & Sons in the form in which it is known today. When the company moved to Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1905, the four Case brothers had made their family brands the most respectable names in cutlery in America.

At the beginning of World War I, the government appealed to the Case for the production of military knives for American fighters. During the flight of the "Molly Brown" in 1965, astronauts Gus Grissom and John Young used special Case knives in the NASA space mission. Case has garnered famous and avid collectors like former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower and country music star Randy Travis.
