Details
One of the first lightweight folding knives with a carry clip, the Spyderco Delica® 4 is one of the brand's most popular and iconic models. In this special edition, the design is further enhanced by the use of exclusive CPM® SPY27® steel, developed in close collaboration with Crucible® Industries.
This is an advanced powder metallurgy steel that enhances the already high-performance formula of cobalt-enriched VG-10 by incorporating niobium, nitrogen, and higher amounts of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium. The result is a material that offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of resharpening.
The PlainEdge™ full flat blade with a satin finish makes the most of these properties, while the FRN (glass-reinforced nylon fiber) handle, injection molded in the characteristic cobalt blue of the SPY27 line, ensures lightness and strength. The knife features a back lock mechanism and a four-position clip, configurable for tip-up or tip-down carry on either side.
