ExtremaRatio - SERE 2 - GOI Gruppo Operativo Incursori - rescue knife
S.E.R.E. 2, adopted by the Operational Group of Italian Navy Incursors, is the development of the S.E.R.E. 1, created by a study group composed of Special Forces operators, martial artists and experts in survival techniques. This variant 2 has been revised according to the needs expressed by the Department.
The acronym S.E.R.E. refers to the four principles "Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape" which make up the training program provided to military personnel at high risk of capture.
The S.E.R.E. 2 is suitable for both tip and cut use. The unique grip, unlike the classic blades of this type, is fixed between the index and the middle, thus forming a single axis from the tip of the blade to the user's wrist, allowing its use also in reverse grip. The handle has the same ergonomics as the butt of a firearm; this grip allows an instinctive and immediate use, being able to easily integrate the training in the training activity.
The geometry of the tip ensures maximum penetration, at the same time its axial profile with a triangular base protects its resistance. The design of the blade has on one side a partially serrated profile to favor the cutting of cordages, and on the other hand a classic cut or straps that, unlike the previous model, has re-sharpening and interchangeable blades.
The central loop, which has the dual function of lightening and turn-crickets, recalls the maritime origins of its creators. The peculiarity of the knife is that it has been specifically designed to be used even without the handle; the two holes in the part dedicated to the handle facilitate assembly.
The kydex sheath has a basic retention that can be used alone for operators who need extremely fast knife use, and a removable locking lock if necessary. The knife is supplied with double safety for ambidextrous mounting. An insert with a flat-blade screwdriver is available as an accessory. Comes with belt clip for belt fastening and paracord for fixing on the M.O.L.L.E. system.
"Using the gun, knife or other weapon for us is the same thing: it's just the extension of the hand." Quote from a commander of the ward.

ExtremaRatio - E.C.M. Cobra - ECM Einsatzkommando - Knife
The Extreme Ratio E.C.M. (Einsatzkommando Cobra Messer) is a fixed blade multipurpose knife, designed for operational uses for the famous Einsatzkommando "Cobra" special unit of the Austrian police, whose logo is laser engraved on the heel of the blade. The Extreme Ratio E.C.M. it combines the characteristics of a practical tool and those of a reliable weapon, in a compact configuration with a total weight of 240g.
The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel, hardened to 58 HRC and is 116 mm long, 5 mm thick and equipped with a flat edge. The profile of the blade is of the modified spear point type, with a false counter-thread ¾ in length on the back and a lower guard to protect the hand during use.
Both the guard and the knob have holes to facilitate the attachment of the knife to various tools or for the passage of laces. The blade has a Carbon-based DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) surface coating making it hyper-resistant to abrasion and chemical aggression.
Given the heavy use of the tool, for the handle, instead of the usual Forprene, the more performing high-strength G10 is used.
It is fixed to the FULL TANG profile by two through screws and maintains all the known ergonomic characteristics of the Extrema Ratio handles. Being a knife designed for professional use, great importance was given to ease of port, accessibility and rapid extraction.
The polymer sheath is versatile and can be carried on a service belt or mounted on M.O.L.L.E. of tactical vests, backpacks or other equipment.

Extremaratio - Arditi Deluxe - Single-edged dagger - Limited Collector's Edition - Knife
The particular situation created in the early years of the 1914/18 war, now mired in increasingly complex and protected trenches and fortifications, favored the formation of men who, little by little, specialized in the coup.
Our assault units, the Arditi, had their dagger. It was obtained from the pieces cut away by the long blades of the Vetterli 1870 bayonets, which in the narrow trenches, in the corridors, between the reticulars were only an obstacle. It was certainly a rustic weapon, of recovery, not too beautiful but certainly inexpensive, light, not cumbersome and in expert hands also effective.
Today, on the occasion of the centenary, we recall this important page of Italian military history with a limited celebratory series in only 100 numbered copies. This version has a satin blade and a walnut wood handle and is sold with a wooden box and leather sheath.
