The HIGO-MH-DLC folder features a 3.5-inch YXR7 blade with DLC coating and Micarta handle. The incredible mirror finish is achieved by heat treating the blade and gradually grinding by hand with wet and dry sandpaper of 400, 600, 800, 1,200 and 2,000. The HIGO-MH-DLC comes with a black leather belt case with a slot to hold the included torx wrench.

This knife blade is convex on both sides in the tradition of the highly praised Japanese sword. This shape is both sharp and strong, and can still slice cleanly through a sheet of paper even after the punishment of chopping and cutting through dried bamboo. Using this special blade shape is an excellent way of allowing an edge to be thick without sacrificing any of its sharpness. This knife is of preeminent sharpness. This is a durable knife with strong cutting capabilities that will last for a long time. Even when used for rigorous cutting, the blade will not bite or catch thanks to its convex shape. Other knives will often bite or catch, and may acquire nicks if pulled out suddenly.

This slender-shaped knife with a curved handle derives from ancient models used by the shepherds of Abruzzo. Its adoption in the repertoire of knives manufactured in Scarperia (where the particular crease of the handle earned it the name of "hunchback") dates back to the late nineteenth century and took place without flashy changes compared to the original type, equipped with a simple spring and one-piece bovine horn handle. This model is in horn tip.

The first certain information on this knife dates back to 1848. A specimen, dated 1871, is kept in the State Archives of Florence, attached to the documents of a trial against a convicted person. The mark of a Scarperia manufacturer, Gustavo Buffi, is clearly visible on it, the shape of the blade is that with an angled back, also maintained in the twentieth century and present in the catalogs of various firms in Scarperia. The Maremmano is a horn tip model.

The "Neapolitan" old drives is a knife in horn tip elongated, suitable to cut the use of tip. It is not clear which of the knives of the traditional Neapolitan is inspired model of Scarperia. The general line is somewhat related to the "Maremma" in the form assumed in the Mugello, but with more slender proportions and read.

The production of Scarborough has not devoted much attention to penknives.

The name of this knife comes from the shape of the blade, reminiscent of the razor.

The handle formed by two halves fixed with a row of rivets and the absence of a real spring are typical of the original model, but the line, the shape of the surfaces, the use of ram's horn are affected by the Scarperian tradition. Le prime notizie certe su questo coltello risalgono al 1848. Un esemplare, datato 1871, è conservato nell'Archivio di Stato di Firenze, allegato agli atti di un processo a carico di un pregiudicato. Su di esso è ben visibile il marchio di un fabbricante di Scarperia, Gustavo Buffi, la forma della lama è quella con dorso angolato, mantenuta anche nel Novecento e presente nei cataloghi di varie ditte scarperiesi. Il Maremmano è un modello in punta di corno.

Typical Piedmont knife, in use since the early 19th century also in Liguria. Originally from the village of Vernante (Cuneo).

The 420 stainless steel blade can be scimitar or straight.
