However, it was the wrath of the father of the gods, Odin, that often drove the goddess of love to unleash wars in the world of men. Dirk Hofmeister of Midgards Messer was inspired by the art of Nordic forging and created the folding blade version of the beloved Little Dvalin.

The powerful Dvalin Folder Tanto impresses with its compact dimensions and features a Tanto blade in D2 steel with ball bearings, finished with a rough stonewash appearance and equipped with a deep engraving on both sides to open the folding knife using the recess as a nail lever.

The engraving on the top of the blade offers a secure grip for the thumb during complex cutting operations. Despite the wrath of the gods, the well-formed and partly grooved G10 handle always fits firmly in the hand. As a Filipino martial arts enthusiast, Italian knife designer Alessandra De Santis of Hydra Design decided to design a Karambit knife for Boker Plus. These sickle-shaped knives originated in Southeast Asia and were preferably used for harvesting rice. In contrast, the Karambit from Boker Plus comes in a tactical guise. The black-coated 154CM Hawkbill blade effortlessly slices its way through cardboard and ropes, while the black G10 handle and sturdy linerlock provide much-needed safety on the job.

Light weight and high efficiency form the backbone of the pocket knife named after the Norse goddess of the underworld. As an alternative to the flipper opening, the knife offers a thumb stud screwed into the back of the blade whose shape also serves as an "Emerson Wave"-style opening. The great success of the Boker M4 Sherman Damascus, due not only to the history of the historic Damascus steel but also to the design, prompted us to use this as the basis for a performing and pleasant EDC with a titanium framelock, which, despite the metallurgy of the blade powders, also carries a real piece of M4 Sherman Damascus.

For the blade of the Sherman EDC we used Magnacut for the first time, which is not without reason celebrated as a "miracle steel". Unlike the usually used tool steels, this steel was specially developed for the production of knives. The three desirable properties of a steel - edge retention, toughness and resistance to rust (stainless in the DIN category) - represent a conflict of goals. To make the steel resistant to rust, the addition of chromium is necessary, which makes the structure coarse, brittle and prone to fracture under normal conditions. The high hardness, which has a positive influence on the cutting life, is usually achieved at the expense of toughness. With Magnacut, despite the high chromium content of 10.7% and an impressive hardenability of over 62HRC, it was possible to achieve a very fine microstructure and thus a high toughness and shock load tolerance. The addition of nitrogen plays a central role here.

The central structural difference compared to the M4 Damascus model is the elegantly integrated flipper, which allows the blade to open smoothly with a small impulse.

A special highlight of the Boker Sherman EDC is the protruding Damascus backspacer, which is equipped with a lanyard hole in an elongated slot design. The Damascus of the backspacer was forged from various materials from Chad Nichols' M4 Sherman tank production in the Customized Ladder pattern and resembles the tank tracks left in the ground by the heavy chains of the M4 Sherman.

The universal wide point blade with high saber sharpening has always been the hunter's favorite shape for both large and small game and is suitable for both precision and heavier tasks. The tang is continuous and protrudes a few millimeters from the end of the handle. This ensures maximum stability and the tang can withstand even powerful blows with a log or other object.

TPE - thermoplastic elastomer - was chosen as the material of the handle, which completely encloses the tang and has a structure that guarantees a good grip in any load direction. TPE is strong, elastic, non-slip and has low thermal conductivity.

The knife features a leather sheath featuring a 9.3cm metal firelighter from market leader Light My Fire, which fits into a large, snug leather ring firmly integrated into the piping.

Today, Chad Los Banos' practical Boker Plus Subcom can definitely be called one of the cornerstones of Boker Plus. In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov presented the AK-47 assault rifle he had designed to the Red Army and immediately convinced the decision-making bodies of its development. Only two years later, the now famous AK-47 was officially put into service as the "7.62 mm Awtomat Kalasshnikova obraztsa 1947". Even then, the simple and reliable design with a gas-pressure magazine with a swivel-head breech, the consistent use of stamped plates that could be produced quickly and cheaply, and the adherence to a class of cartridges introduced by the Wehrmacht with the StG 44 with an average performance between machine gun and rifle ammunition set the trend to this day. These characteristics have made the Kalashnikov system the most built and replicated weapon in history, with an estimated 100 million manufactured worldwide.

Introduced in 1959 along with the AKM, the revised variant of the AK-47, the bayonet was no less revolutionary and formative for later designs than the famous assault rifle itself. The concept was based on a knife originally developed by R. Todorov for combat swimmers. It marked a move away from long bayonets, which were used purely as cutting weapons, to a short, mountable knife with insulated shears and a multifunctional rear saw.

Mikhail Kalashnikov personally visited the Boker manufacture in Solingen in 2002 and officially introduced the Boker Kalashnikov knife line to the public. More than 70 years after the AK-47 entered service, we now present a truly exceptional special edition model of the knife line and once again honor its brilliant engineering achievement. The Boker Kalashnikov Bayonet Damascus features a unique Damascus steel blade, made from 6Ch3 and 6Ch4 bayonet steel according to the GRAU index of the former Soviet Army and decorated with General Kalashnikov's signature. The stainless Damascus, handcrafted by Chad Nichols, has 80 layers and is hand forged in the Virus pattern. It features an unusually intricate pattern that is the result of a very controlled forging process.

The handle is CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminum and then black anodized. The stabilized inlays are made of domestic hornbeam wood, reminiscent of the wood in the stock of the famous assault rifle, and together they form the shape of the characteristic vents on the fore-end. The Russian amber shellac color of the original stocks has been accurately reproduced. They are also CNC milled from solid and inserted by hand. All screws and clip are also black anodized. Made in the Boker knife factory in Solingen, it is delivered with transparent floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.

The Böker Plus Subcom 2.0 is equipped with a short D2 blade with black coating.
