Higonokami - Kanekoma knife - Black Small Pocket Knife Japan
Charming knife used by the Japanese farmer.
As is typical for many agricultural tools, this Japanese knife is also extremely simple but the result of a centuries-old improvement that has found the difficult balance between form and function, and between cost and benefit.
The main feature is certainly the quality of the blade, in fact it uses a three-layer San Mai steel, of which the very hard one in the center.
It has a razor wire, as befits a tool created to cut and not just to be displayed in display cases.

Takeshi Saji - Koinobori knife - red carp skin - PRIVATE COLLECTION - Craft Knife
Knife collected from a private collection in like new condition with original box - Knife made in 2017 by the famous Japanese knifemaker Takeshi Saji - The knife is supplied together with the sheath made by Saji, with an additional sheath made by the Italian cutler Simone Tonolli. This second sheath allows horizontal attachment to the belt. Checked and certified by our internal laboratory.
Takeshi Saji was born in 1948 in Takefu (Fukui prefecture), a city located roughly in the center of Japan and in the heart of an area for centuries devoted to the production of blades. His workshop is still there, built around the oven thanks to which, for several years now, Takeshi Saji has been forging steel (especially damascus) with which he makes various models of traditional Japanese knives. Takeshi Saji - Kisu Dai - custom knife
