Designed specifically for the seven Mercury Program astronauts, the Model 17 accompanied these pioneers on the United States' first manned space flights. Whether in the home hearth, hunting lodge, garden, forestry maintenance, scout camp or bushcraft camp, the axe, one of mankind's oldest tools, is still an indispensable item for many activities. Some outdoor enthusiasts even prefer the axe to the knife.

Boker Plus Appalachian axes feature a Rhine-shaped axe head made of 1055 carbon steel, a choice that represents an above-average carbon content and material standard even for quality axes. The universal blade thickness is suitable for both felling and splitting. The lower tip (heel) of the 10.7-cm-long cutting edge can be used as a turning point for wood pieces. The steel is protected from rust by a protective lacquer. A versatile weight of 600g was chosen for the heads of both axes. The best American long-fiber walnut, far superior to European ash for breaking elasticity and impact resistance, was used for the handles. The handles are attached to the head with wooden wedge and steel sleeve. The two models Appalachian Big and Appalchian Small differ in the length of the handles.

The legendary BuckMaster 184 Survival Knife is currently conceived and designed specifically for the Navy SEAL Team in 1980. He was created by CJ Buck (CEO of Buck Knives) and designed a small business, Qual-A-Tec, in 1981 in California. The BuckMaster is the American icon of the coltellis that emerged in the '80s and has contributed to the creation of the famous M9 bayonetta of the American army. The production was 2600 examples all'anno.

The brand new model, coming from the private collection, comes from the first production, dating back to 1984. Globally in perfect condition, only damaged and used. Only deprived of scatola.
