Carl Schlieper - Survival Companion Knife - Vintage knife
Carl Schlieper Stahlwarenfabrik & Export was originally a trading company founded between 1754 and 1798 in Remscheid, Germany. Products included knives, tools and freehand razors. A branch of the company in Solingen was responsible for the production of knives including slipjoint, automatic knives, daggers, machetes, bowies, razors and kitchen knives. Over the years, several trademarks were created and 22 patents held by the company and millions of pieces sold worldwide. Carl Schlieper was liquidated through bankruptcy in 1993. Production of the brand was subsequently taken over by Freidrich Olbertz in Solingen.
