With a fixed 11-cm. blade of premium CPM-S30V sintered stainless steel and an all-weather durable G10 OD Green handle with a highly visible red G10 spacer, the 163-1 Bushcrafter is purpose-built for all of the toughest outdoor tasks, including fire bait preparation, batoning, shelter construction, and food preparation.

Redesigned with updated blade geometry and handle ergonomics to the demands of modern users, it can be kept handy in the leather sheath to be worn on the belt, which also features a special recess for carrying a firestarter.

History of the Model
The Model 7 was designed as a scaled-down version of the Model 3 Hunter.

Almost immediately, the idea of a scaled-down version of the new Hunter dawned on Bo Randall as an ideal knife for his fellow anglers. An avid fisherman since his youth, Bo regarded this new knife as a labor of love and immediately set to work on the project. At first he tried 4- and 4.5-inch blades, but then opted for the 4 1/2-inch one. Bo wanted the right handle for cleaning brook trout and similar sized fish, so he reduced the size of the handle of the new Hunter and changed its shape. Naturally, he called this model the "Fisherman," and some early prototypes with 4-inch blades were delivered to some dealers during the latter part of September 1945.
