This year's colors come from the 17th century Mora folk dress, one of Sweden's oldest folk dresses. Here the green fabric meets the classic Dala Red color typical of our knives. Together, they breathe new life into the color combination that once made the people of Mora famous all over the world.
Mora folk dress is still worn by people on special occasions, such as midsummer, weddings or folk music events. Over the years, the dress has undergone few changes and has remained largely the same as it always has. The Mora folk dress and the Morakniv are both worn with pride, in keeping with the tradition established by the ancestors and the heritage that has been developed and cultivated over the years.
The knife, with its ergonomic barrel-shaped polymer handle, features a sturdy finger guard and a 2.0 mm-thick carbon steel blade that provides strength and stability with every cut.

The black recycled Swedish stainless steel blade, with its full curvature and drop point, allows you to get the most out of your experience. The unique, carefully selected ash wood handle features a functional grip bead and a 2.5 mm thick black blade made of recycled Swedish stainless steel, providing strength and stability with every cut. Thanks to the design of the blade and handle, the knife is well balanced and specially developed for precision work. The black PC coating creates a balanced contrast between the bright ash wood and the polished edge of the blade. For both finally assume the archaic ritual significance to sanction the signing of a contract not yet institutionalized.
The handle is decorated with classic "dice eyes" that are meant to turn the knife in a valuable amulet against the evil eye. After marriage these knives were usually hung on the wall above the bed.
