Antonini artisans from Maniago have created an exclusive and limited series of OLD BEAR knives using the famous Japanese SANMAI steel in VG10 with 67 layers. This beautiful project combines the tradition of a successful knife, patented and built in Italy, with the history and qualitative excellence of Japanese steel, made with a production process that dates back to that used for the famous Japanese swords.

The thickness of the blade goes from 2 mm of the standard models to 2.5 mm of this exclusive series, in order to make the knife more robust and performing.

although steel normally becomes harder after hardening, the lateral steel used in multilayer processing does not lose its softness and allows easy processing, drilling or welding even after heat treatment. For an optimal performance of the blade, cryogenic treatment is recommended.

- Improvement of the aesthetic result

Boker Tiger-Damascus adds a very special model to the series of pocket knives steeped in history. Collector's knife with a historical past, a true piece of living history, which combines high quality craftsmanship with authentic materials. The straight-cut Boker Tiger-Damascus features a unique Damascus blade made from the steel from the tank destroyed in Bauska. The non-stainless damask mosaic is hand-forged by Chad Nichols and resembles the tank tracks left in the ground by the Tiger's heavy tracks. Unlike conventional damask, damask mosaic production does not create layers, but complex damask bars are hand forged into a mosaic with an elaborate and very complicated process. The blade operates on ball bearings and is locked open by a sturdy steel framelock with stonewash finish.

The overall shape of the knife pays homage to the famous lines of the tank, while the decorative pin screw is modeled on the main drive pinion.

The stunning Boker M4 Sherman-Damascus is a living piece of history and combines high quality craftsmanship with historical materials. The American M4 Sherman was designed in 1940 and is considered to be one of the most famous tanks in history. It was produced between 1942 and 1945, remained in service until 1957 and was used on all battlefields of World War II - not only by the United States and Canada, but also by Britain, by French forces. , from China and even the Soviet Union.

The Boker Sherman-Damascus features a unique 80-ply Damascus blade, forged with materials sourced from the production of the M4 Sherman tanks, previously restored by the museum. It marks and celebrates the 90th anniversary of our company (1925-2015), and intentionally Involves production process engaging in high levels of manual production, skilled and experienced manufacture.

The knife handle is aged in oil-treated walnut wood, while its blade is in stainless steel and stone is sharpened by skilled and qualified craftsman 'hands.
The "Old Bear ™" knife comes without no-return spring meaning its blade locking system features a solid safety ring (covered by patent n.1187282 deposited in the year 1985 by Todesco company from Maniago Which is active partners of this project) That fixed the handle in open and closed positions.
Currently "Old Bear ™" knife line is available in two sizes: S, M, L, XL.

The knife blade comes with our salt-etched "Old Bear ™" and logo into a single fashionable and personalized paper box together with a new "old-style" cardboard display box with 12 little boxes plus 1 open knife.

This series is characterized by simple and ergonomic shapes, celebrating the 90th anniversary of the company foundation (1925-2015) and is realized by engaging traditional production techniques with a high level of manual skills.

The sleeves are made of antique walnut and oiled, while the blade made of stainless steel, is sharpened and manually reworked on the stone by skilled craftsmen hands.

Being a model without return spring, the fixing of the blade to the handle is ensured by a solid brass safety ring with a special locking device (covered by patent n.1187282 filed again in 1985 by the company Todesco di Maniago which is active partner of this project) can be activated both in open position and in closed position.
