Nepal's national weapon and its Gurkha warriors are distinguished by their sharp curved blade in the lathe and the weight shift towards the tip that allows very effective gaiters. Arma nazionale del Nepal e dei suoi guerrieri Gurkha, si distingue per la sua lama ricurva affilata nel latoconcavo e per lo spostamento del peso verso la punta che consente fendenti molto efficaci. L’impugnatura è diritta, senzaguardia. Caratteristico il ricasso (kauri) e il fodero di legno ricoperto di cuoioin cui sono contenuti anche due piccoli coltelli (karda e chakmak).
