German production In order to guarantee a perfect cut, Coltelleria Collini, with its in-house sharpening laboratory, checks and overhauls every instrument sold. The German company DOVO Solingen celebrated its centenary in 2006 together with its subsidiary Merkur Solingen.

Its products include professional hairdressing scissors, manicure scissors, shaving products and manicure sets. The DOVO company started producing razors with thirteen employees.

The law passed in 1938 to protect the name Solingen gave it more pride and a sense of security for the brand, as well as an even greater sense of local identity.

The company chose a knight with a sword and hammer as its coat of arms, which penetrated the markets of Western Europe and North America with vigour.

Due to the success of the scissors and razors for hairdressers, the company founded a subsidiary, Merkur Solingen, which produced shaving supplies that were a worldwide success and opened up new markets for the company in Asia, particularly in Russia and the Arabian Peninsula.

Knife withdrawn from a private collection. Produced in 2008, it was born from the collaboration between Buck and Simonich Knives. The result is a sturdy, yet handy full tang tactical knife.
Overall in excellent condition - Checked and certified by our in-house Coltelleria Collini laboratory, it comes complete with original box.

Randall's Model 11 features a serrated top blade for thumb placement. From a leather handle of about 11 cm equipped with a duralumin bottom. The drop-point blade was designed in 1952 by Tommy Thompson, a well-known Alaska guide. Excellent blade for skinning large game.

From a private collection, this is a model no longer in production that reproduces the Argentine national knife: a blade with a simple shape that is ideal for almost everything from hunting, repair of harnesses and saddles, cooking and eating meals.

In very good condition, it shows some signs of light oxidation on the blade. Checked and certified by our internal laboratory Coltelleria Collini.

Dovo - Sewing Scissors Satin 6''

These Dovo 6'' Stainless Steel Sewing Scissors have a satin finish and will not rust. One sharp point and one more rounded point are appropriate for lightweight sewing, trimming for fabric of all weights, and many household applications. Imported directly from Solingen, Germany. These sewing scissors are stainless steel, so they will not rust in moist conditions and can be sterilized. An autoclave sterilizer may be used. These scissors might be more properly termed “stain resistant,” since they could possibly stain under greatly adverse conditions. The stains are not rust and will not affect their quality performance. The scissors are forged by Dovo in Solingen, Germany, which makes them strong but not bulky. Forging makes the metal harder so the scissors will stay sharp longer. These fine sewing scissors will provide you with many years of beautiful service. They measure 6'' in total length.

With the DOVO Stainless Satin Finished Straight Nose Scissor, 4", you can easily and painlessly remove annoying nose hair. We have rounded the tip of the scissors to give you a comfortable, painless experience when trimming in the sensitive nasal cavity. The DOVO blades have been precisely finished using hand-grinding to guarantee accurate cuts every time. Painful hair trimming is finally a thing of the past!

Material

This instrument is made of 1.4034 stainless steel. The metal alloy shows good corrosion resistance against soap or moisture and is therefore ideal for the production of high-quality scissors. In addition, the material has good cutting properties and can be ground precisely. The high-quality matte surface can be gripped safely even with wet hands.
