Company profile

The manufacturing activity had taken shape in Maniago already in ancient times and had begun to grow and develop in what today is a real industry specialized above all in knives and cutting tools.

It was in this environment that our company began in the 20's of the last century, when the then fourteen year old Di bon Giovanni started working in the cutlery sector.

In 1936, Giovanni together with other partners created a small company that worked for third parties for other cutlery.

In 1958, his son Roberto also joined the company.

In 1964 the current Mac Coltellerie was founded which directed the production towards the classic souvenir and promotional knives.

Subsequently, Mac took its first steps in other types of knives thanks to Roberto's sports experience. Thus the first hunting and underwater knives were born around 1978. It is at this point that the company begins a process of diversification, increasingly expanding the production of underwater cutlery and starting to produce nautical, fishing and rescue knives.

With the growth of company production a larger structure became necessary and, in 1984, Mac moved its doors to the industrial area of ​​Maniago where it is still located today.

In 2003 also Matteo, Roberto's son, joined the company, which brought more computerization to the company.

Thanks to a vast fleet of updated machines and specific equipment, the Mac coltellerie develops the entire production process in the company: it produces its own molds for plastic molding and cutting of metal parts.

This guarantees Mac customers a 100% Made in Italy quality product.
