Opinel is a French company founded by the Opinel family based in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne that has been manufacturing and distributing quality knives since 1890.
The structure of the Opinel knife is simple, with a steel or carbon blade and a stabilised wooden handle covered with a special protective varnish.
Opinel knives are light, easy to handle and affordable, making them some of the best-selling knives in the world.
