A myth in the knife world is that out there somewhere there is a steel with high cutting capabilities that cannot rust.

A Japanese foundry recently turned this myth into reality with the introduction of a steel called H1. H1 is a PH steel, which is a precipitation-processed, hard-rolled alloy with no heat treatment and 0.1 percent nitrogen that acts like carbon in the steel matrix but does not react with chlorine to create rust.

Surprisingly, it maintains a sharp edge comparable to that of the higher quality knife steels used in the industry by most knife manufacturers.

Ferrum Rescue is a tool designed for rescue operations, developed in collaboration with my friend Andrea Micheli, military and law enforcement expert, journalist and shooting instructor. Made with a very compact handle, this rescue tool is equipped with 3 blades, each of which has a specific function:

The first and main blade has a thickness of 3 millimeters and is designed to be used for more demanding purposes and to protect the cutting edge of the other two from premature wear. The teeth allow it to cut larger ropes or textile materials, the remaining smooth part has the classic function of a knife. The second blade is a scalpel, which can be used for extremely precise cuts and for emergency first aid interventions. The third blade, on the back of the first, is the smallest of the 3, it has the function of cutting lines, capable of cutting paracord and aramid material.

The interaction of the main blade with the scalpel allows the operator to make a quick emergency cut to free any injured person from his or her clothing.

The line cutter blade and the scalpel are both interchangeable.

As a Filipino martial arts enthusiast, Italian knife designer Alessandra De Santis of Hydra Design decided to design a Karambit knife for Boker Plus. These sickle-shaped knives originated in Southeast Asia and were preferably used for harvesting rice. In contrast, the Karambit from Boker Plus comes in a tactical guise. The 154CM Hawkbill blade effortlessly slices its way through cardboard and ropes, while the G10 handle and sturdy linerlock provide the necessary safety on the job.

Light weight and high efficiency form the backbone of the pocket knife named after the Norse goddess of the underworld. As an alternative to the flipper opening, the knife offers a thumb stud screwed into the back of the blade whose shape also serves as an "Emerson Wave"-style opening. Alessandra De Santis' characteristic angular design elements are found in the G10 ring at the end of the handle. The flush, reversible clip allows for flexible knife carrying. As a Filipino martial arts enthusiast, Italian knife designer Alessandra De Santis of Hydra Design decided to design a Karambit knife for Boker Plus. These sickle-shaped knives originated in Southeast Asia and were preferably used for harvesting rice. In contrast, the Karambit from Boker Plus comes in a tactical guise. The black-coated 154CM Hawkbill blade effortlessly slices its way through cardboard and ropes, while the black G10 handle and sturdy linerlock provide much-needed safety on the job.

Light weight and high efficiency form the backbone of the pocket knife named after the Norse goddess of the underworld. As an alternative to the flipper opening, the knife offers a thumb stud screwed into the back of the blade whose shape also serves as an "Emerson Wave"-style opening. Alessandra De Santis' characteristic angular design elements are found in the G10 ring at the end of the handle. The flush, reversible clip allows for flexible knife carrying. Supplied with a high-quality nylon pouch.

This handmade Finnish hunting and outdoor knife is an exclusive version of the classic "Hunting" model and has a unique reindeer horn shape and decoration.

It was originally developed as a knife for moose hunters in Finland and quickly became the perfect companion for working larger game such as moose, wild boar and deer. The design and profile of the blade are excellent for skinning game.

The blade is made of UHC (Ultra High Carbon) steel and the handle decorated with reindeer antlers is curly birch, stained and coated with linseed oil, which ensures a firm grip, even when wet. UHC steel makes the knife extremely sharp for a long time.

Comes with a handcrafted sheath of dark vegetable tanned Finnish leather in combination with stained curly birch, for a unique look. Made, sharpened in collaboration with knife maker Kari Ohtonen.
