The 1/8-inch thick 1095 high-carbon steel provides excellent cutting, penetration and edge-holding qualities. The simple handle design, with its Micarta grooves, provides the user with excellent traction in most circumstances.

The C.U.B. (Compact Utility Blade) is designed to serve as a compact and lightweight sidekick to a machete/bolo/parang in a tropical environment or of a tomahawk/axe in a forest environment. It is capable of performing all the important utility functions for camp and food preparation, leaving the heavy lifting to the other cutting tools. With an emphasis on compactness, the C.U.B. was designed with two styles of knives in mind: the Finish Puukko (with scandi sharpening) and the Kephart. Put them in a blender and you get the C.U.B. TOPS: robust simplicity!
