Thanks to its structure, RAO C is a tool that despite its small size, manages to guarantee the same qualities of robustness and reliability as its big brother while offering better portability and manageability.

The locking mechanism on opening is particularly strong as it is assisted by a safety system that turns it into a true fixed blade. The primary safety on the blade is activated by raising and lowering the locking pin. To provide the user with maximum safety in use, a practical and quick secondary safety has been applied, which can be activated simply by moving the locking pin horizontally.

For the purpose of lightening the steel frames, a template was laser-cut from the profile of the RAO C, which was then used to make a gadget that is delivered with the knife.

Laguiole en Aubrac's internationally awarded forge is a benchmark for traditional French craftsmanship.

This traditionally designed Laguiole knife bears the LOG (Laguiole Origine Garantie) quality mark, which means it was made entirely by hand in Laguiole by a master blacksmith in accordance with strict quality criteria and LOG production specifications. For almost a decade, Cold Steel® offered a wicked-looking little boot knife called the Culloden®. It was based on the traditional Scottish 'black knife' or 'Skean Dhu' as it is more commonly called in Gaelic, the ancient language of Scotland.

The Caledonian Edge™ features a number of modern variations and refinements over its predecessor. The blade is made of a virtually unbreakable San Mai III® construction and, like the original Skean Dhu, features a thin, sharp point, as sharp as the proverbial needle.
