Kiku Matsuda is one of the most famous artists and scholars of sharpening in all of Japan; you probably already have a knife in your collection that is the result of his passion: he has been collaborating for several years with SOG, William Henry, Pro-Tech, and Randall Kings, developing blade bevels, sharpening, and polishing for them.

Limited to just 1999 pieces, this collector's knife boasts a sturdy full tang construction, a drop point blade in BKR-10 steel with a double finish, brushed and satin, and screwed G10 scales for a secure grip.  BKR-10 steel, developed exclusively for Boker, offers corrosion resistance, high hardness, and performance comparable to Japanese VG-10.

Supplied in an elegant wooden box, complete with black leather sheath with belt loop and certificate of authenticity.

Takeshi Saji was born in 1948 in Takefu (Fukui prefecture), a city located roughly in the center of Japan and in the heart of an area for centuries devoted to the production of blades. His workshop is still there, built around the oven thanks to which, for several years now, Takeshi Saji has been forging steel (especially damascus) with which he makes various models of traditional Japanese knives. The choice of materials for the finishes (mainly natural), the essential lines - evocative of use - and the chromatic combinations of rare impact make his creations unique and unmistakable in the panorama of world cutlery and, at home, they have earned him the prestigious title of Master.
