Shaped by tradition, the Annual Damascus Knife cites the Boker TRPPR (pronounced: trapper) as an exceptional gentleman's knife that brings the spirit of the celebrated original Trapper into a new era. Though stripped down to its essentials, the pocket knife is no slouch. The blade opens on ball bearings and is made of 100-ply Damascus and hand-forged in the USA by Chad Nichols with the Stainless Meadow pattern, opens with surprising fluidity thanks to the flipper, while the refined integral framelock with over-extension stop secures the knife securely. The titanium body, pleasant to the touch and with a clean design, creates an elegant contrast to the blade and emphasizes the guiding principle of contemporary knife culture. Decorative accents are offered by the thermally colored screws, including the pivot screw, where the famous Boker shaft mark immediately catches the eye, as well as the titanium clip (tip-up/r) with ball, made from a solid block.

"Comix" type coloring refers to a coloring technique used in comic books and illustrations that is inspired by the style of traditional comic books. This style of coloring often features flat, bright colors with sharp edges between different shades. Some hallmarks of comix-type coloring include:

The Magnum Collection 2022 is an outdoor knife with an extremely robust drop point blade in satin D2. Japanese steel merges with Italian excellence

For this 2019/2020 collaboration, exclusive to Coltelleria Collini, we decided to propose a series of best sellers produced by Wander Tactical. Knives made with the famous San Mai steel produced by the Japanese Takefu Steel. Specifically we have used the carbonaceous V-Toku2 at 62/63HRC for the central plate and the stainless SUS410 for the two external plates, in order to guarantee a very high cutting capacity, penetration and edge holding together with an easy resharpening and maintenance. At the same time the blade has a remarkable resistance to corrosion and an important increase of resilience given by the type of extreme steel and the laminated structure.

As in the ancient swords of the Japanese Samurai.

The rolled steel - imported in Italy by Collini Steel directly from the Japanese Takefu Steel - is based on the ancient Japanese tradition in the creation of the famous Samurai swords. As early as 1100, expert Japanese blacksmiths combined different materials to give Katana swords incredible cutting capabilities combined with previously unknown strength and flexibility. It is thanks to this revolutionary construction technique that the Samurai swords have been preserved until our days becoming one of the most fascinating objects made by man. Following this tradition applied to modern metallurgy, we are now able to have technologically advanced steels already tested and used in cutlery by famous brands such as Fallkniven, Cold Steel, Mcusta, Kai, Sog, Zwilling, Rockstead, etc.

Characteristics of San Mai steel: It is made of different types of metals alloyed together to create a composite that contains and intensifies the strengths of the metals taken individually:

- Longer cutting edge life
thanks to the use of high quality steels with a high carbon content (VG10, CoS, Shiro) or sintered (SPG2), in the core steel, the blade, once hardened, reaches hardness and cutting performance decidedly superior to those achieved with the use of traditional steels.

- Greater resilience
Built on the principle of Japanese swords, the multilayer steel is difficult to break thanks to the toughness of the central steel (Core Steel) and the elasticity of the steel used for the lateral coating (Stainless Steel).

- Improved corrosion resistance
The steel used for the outer layers (Stainless Steel) gives the blade a high resistance to corrosion. The combination of the two or more materials used by Takefu Steel generates, at a galvanic level, a structure that improves corrosion resistance even on the edge.

- Easy machining even after heat treatment
Although steel normally becomes harder after hardening, the lateral steel used in multilayer machining does not lose its softness and allows easy machining, drilling or welding even after heat treatment. For optimum blade performance, cryogenic treatment is recommended.

- Improved aesthetic performance
Knives made of multi-state steel or damascus pattern at the end of the processing are aesthetically elegant, refined and highly appreciated by collectors all over the world.

Boker Tiger-Damascus adds a very special model to the series of pocket knives steeped in history. Collector's knife with a historical past, a true piece of living history, which combines high quality craftsmanship with authentic materials. Known worldwide as the Tiger, the Panzerkampfwagen VI was used by the Wehrmacht from the late summer of 1942. It is considered to be one of the most famous tanks in history, despite its modest production number of only 1350 units and consequent low importance. strategic. The development of the heavy tank can be traced back to 1937 and series production began in August 1942. Today there are only seven units preserved, on display worldwide.

The tank parts used for the knife blade come from a Tiger I of the Schwere Panzerabteilung 502, which was destroyed in combat in Latvia in the summer of 1944 in a wooded area near the town of Bauska. Based on the wreck found at the original excavation site, it was determined that this Tiger was one of the first models produced.

The straight-cut Boker Tiger-Damascus features a unique Damascus blade made from the steel from the tank destroyed in Bauska. The non-stainless damask mosaic is hand-forged by Chad Nichols and resembles the tank tracks left in the ground by the Tiger's heavy tracks. Unlike conventional damask, damask mosaic production does not create layers, but complex damask bars are hand forged into a mosaic with an elaborate and very complicated process. The blade operates on ball bearings and is locked open by a sturdy steel framelock with stonewash finish.

The overall shape of the knife pays homage to the famous lines of the tank, while the decorative pin screw is modeled on the main drive pinion.

The slightly shaped micarta canvas handle scales feature precisely milled grooves, reminiscent of the characteristic surface texture of the Zimmerit coating of German armored vehicles.
