Remember that carbon steel always requires some care, so keep the blade clean and wash and dry it after each use. You can also apply a little oil to the blade from time to time. With proper care, corrosion is kept at bay and the blade remains intact.
The handle material is TPV, thermoplastic vulcanized, a type of rubber-like plastic material that resists wear, impact, chemicals and temperature changes almost indefinitely. The secure grip remains firm even in wet conditions.
