In Norse mythology, Andhrimnir tirelessly took care of the physical well-being of the gods and the honorably fallen heroes, who thoroughly enjoyed their existence in the carefree warriors' paradise, Valhalla.

For this purpose, he slaughtered the beast Sæhrimnir day after day, which was then resurrected at night to be eaten again the following day. A fleeting glance at Midgard (the Norse term for earth/world) would have elevated the chef's status even further in the eyes of the gods. This is because the knife craftsman Dirk Hofmeister knows like no other how to create mythical blades infused with Norse magic.

The Andhrimnir Mini bears the unmistakable hallmarks of Midgard's full tang constructed knives, with a 6mm thick Wharncliffe blade made of D2 in a two-tone finish with grooves on both sides and jimpings to ensure optimal functionality and maximum stability for all daily cutting tasks. The curved, hooked blade is designed inspired by the shape of a claw. It is designed to achieve precise, deep cuts while simultaneously hooking, trapping and/or ripping.

The back ring is designed to achieve a strong and secure grip in all conditions preventing the knife from sliding back and making it exceptionally difficult to disarm or turn against the user.

The very thin Kydex sheath has a quick release and comes with paracord that allows it to be used as a neck knife or attached to MOLLE-system platforms.

Takeshi Saji è nato nel 1948 a Takefu (prefettura di Fukui), una città situata all'incirca nel centro del Giappone e nel cuore di una zona da secoli votata alla produzione di lame. Il suo laboratorio è ancora lì, costruito intorno al forno grazie al quale, ormai da parecchi anni, Takeshi Saji forgia l'acciaio (soprattutto damasco) con cui realizza vari modelli di coltelli tradizionali giapponesi.
