Nino - Saracca Romagnola - Satin-finished blade and bovine horn tip - 25cm - handmade knife
A knife originating in Romagna, widely used in the countryside of this region, made entirely by hand by Giovanni Nista.
The name Saracca derives from the sarago fish, whose tapered shape resembles the knife's form. Also called “curtel cun el riz” because of the curl on the spring that facilitates the lever release of the blade.

The Roman knife is a traditional folding knife originating in Rome and Lazio, linked to the daily life and culture of the city since centuries past. It was created as a working tool, but over time it also took on a symbolic value, becoming part of the imagery of Rome “de' noantri” (our Rome).
It is a snap-lock pocket knife, equipped with a characteristic ring closure system that produces a distinctive sharp sound when the blade is opened. Direttamente derivato da specifiche militari,questo apribile è stato sviluppato per sostituirenell'impiego un lama fissa.
Per raggiungere questo risultato sono stati impiegatimateriali robustissimi, alti spessori ed un sistema diapertura/chiusura solido e sicuro: il back lock.
Il coltello è dotato di sicura manuale che conferisce massima sicurezza nell'impiego e riduce in manieradrastica il rischio di chiusure accidentali.
La sicura, se inserita in chiusura, evita agli operatorimilitari o di polizia che nel caso di sottrazione il coltello possa essere rivolto contro di loro.
Materiali e lavorazioni:
Tutte le parti del coltello sono ricavate dal pieno da macchine a controllo numerico ad alta precisione mentre l'assemblaggio, l'aggiustaggio e l'affilatura sono condotte artigianalmente.
La lama è in acciaio inossidabile al cobalto N690,un acciaio dalle elevatissime caratteristiche di resistenza alle sollecitazioni meccaniche, capacità ditaglio, tenuta del filo e resistenza alla corrosione.L'arrotatura è piana e la durezza è di 58HRC.
Le guancette dell'impugnatura sono in Anticorodal, unalega di alluminio con elevate doti di resistenza alle sollecitazioni meccaniche ed all'ossidazione.
Il codolo, in N690 temprato, è un efficace frangi cristalli d'emergenza. Tutta la viteria, i perni e laclip sono in acciaio inox brunito. La lama, la leva edil codolo sono ricoperti con trattamento Testudo,molto resistente all'abrasione ed all'ossidazione.Le guancette sono anodizzate nere.
