The Zero Tolerance 0100 is one of the first knives produced by Zero Tolerance, the premium division of Kai USA, which was launched in 2006 to develop professional tools for military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders. The 0100 model was, in fact, one of the first three fixed-blade knives in the original lineup, alongside the 0121 and 0150 models.

The design bears the unmistakable stylistic signature of Ken Onion, the renowned American designer already responsible for numerous successes at Kershaw. The distinctive “S”-curved blade offers an unusual combination of cutting ability, power, and precision, making the ZT0100 suitable for both tactical applications and the most demanding outdoor use.

For its construction, Zero Tolerance chose CPM 3V, a steel then considered cutting-edge for its strength and impact resistance, paired with a tungsten DLC coating and three-dimensionally machined G-10 scales. This combination helped solidify the brand’s early reputation as a manufacturer of “overbuilt” knives, designed without compromise for field use.

This replica of Major Von Tempsky's 6.5” Bowie knife is inspired by the design of the knife he created and assigned to his company of Forest Rangers in 1863.

Gustavus Ferdinand von Tempsky (1828-1868) was a German-born adventurer, soldier and artist, known for his role in the New Zealand Wars and for his leadership among the Forest Rangers. His adventurous life and courage made him a legendary figure, particularly in the context of battles between European settlers and Māori peoples.

He learned the advantages of Bowie knife fighting in California during his stint as a prospector, where he had acquired an excellent American-made knife; once he arrived in New Zealand and found himself in charge of Forest Ranger Company No. 2 with the rank of major, he had about 30 Bowie knives made for his men according to his personal design by a blacksmith in Shortland St. Auckland. The Forest Rangers were an elite corps of mounted scouts employed by the colonial government between August 1863 and October 1867 during the New Zealand Wars.

At the time, knives were made of wagon spring steel, one of the few steels available to blacksmiths in Auckland in 1863, and Von Tempsky, an experienced fighter, taught his men the use of the Bowie knife in hand-to-hand combat. The knife was used to defend against enemy blows while a pistol was usually held in the other hand.

In addition to combat, Bowie knives were used to open paths in the forest, dig defensive positions, cut firewood, and for general use while camping.

While working in some of the most dangerous areas of South America, Expat contacted ESEE seeking jungle survival training in extreme scenarios. Expat has traveled thousands of miles around the Third World, sometimes with the ESEE team, but always with ESEE products. The USMC Fighter model is our modern and improved version of the classic multi-purpose knife made famous by the United States Marines.

This fixed blade is 6.5mm thick and made of CPM-S35VN sintered stainless steel with Black DLC treatment, measures nearly 30cm. in total length, has G-10 grips with a three-dimensional machined surface, a two-piece Titanium guard with DLC treatment, and a billet Titanium pommel with DLC treatment.

This unique full tang design has all the advantages of a classic slide-over construction without compromising strength, as would be expected from a Medford! With handcrafted brown leather sheath, it is a true 21st century combat knife.

The Giant Mamba has a tanto blade in Böhler N690 steel, 6.3 mm thick with a hardness of 58 HRC, flat edge and full-length lightening fuller.

The Forprene handle with threaded tang lock makes the knife solid and well-balanced. The sheath, M.O.L.L.E. compatible, is made of shock-absorbing nylon with a conical guide for quick insertion and extraction and a system that prevents shaking noises, it is equipped with a two-button safety flap, a thigh with anti-rotation rubber reinforcement and an ambidextrous reversible safety: simply pressing the trigger unlocks the blade.
