After more than 40 years of service in the U.S. Army Special Forces, Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey founded Spartan Blades LLC in North Carolina.

Curtis, who had been designing and crafting knives for his friends in the special forces for years, and Mark, who had always dealt with military and tactical gear during his time with the “Green Berets,” decided to combine their expertise and passion with the goal of building innovative and functional knives using the highest-quality materials and manufactured entirely in the United States.

With a lower weight and smaller size than its big brother Big Leuku - the small Leuku is a versatile outdoor tool with properties slightly more similar to those of a bushcraft knife.
