After more than 40 years of service in the U.S. Army Special Forces, Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey founded Spartan Blades LLC in North Carolina.

Curtis, who had been designing and crafting knives for his friends in the special forces for years, and Mark, who had always dealt with military and tactical gear during his time with the “Green Berets,” decided to combine their expertise and passion with the goal of building innovative and functional knives using the highest-quality materials and manufactured entirely in the United States.

CAS Knives is the brand of Argentine brothers Claudio, Ariel, and Marcelo Sobral, artisans specializing in custom knives.

Claudio, who has been passionate about weapons since he was young, started working in a weapons factory at the age of 16, acquiring skills in forging and metalworking.
