The BF2 is a “full-size” folding knife particularly suited for professional use by military and law enforcement personnel in the field. The handle is sturdy and comfortable; the reversible, wraparound clip serves as a useful and comfortable thumb rest in the “reverse grip” position. The handle scale is solid with the characteristic recessed surfaces designed to engage the opening pins without them protruding from the knife’s closed profile. The blade, available in either a drop-point or tanto configuration, features a flat grind and, like the BF1, a particularly thick and durable tip. The blade locking mechanism is the proven LINER-LOCK, supplemented by a manually operated safety mechanism protected by a guard.

I designed the ATCF in 1986-87 inspired by my experience with military and security personnel in Central America and the United States. I wanted to create a unique knife that was lightweight yet sturdy, easily accessible and conveniently carried on various garments, completely corrosion-proof, ambidextrous to open and close, and usable with one hand.

The ATCF was the first tactical knife to be fully assembled with screws instead of pins and rivets.
I invented the thumb disk to facilitate opening with both hands. This became a widely copied feature of the ATCF and is used on many other knives by manufacturers around the world.

The ATCF was the first pocket knife to use a knurl on the top of the blade that matches the finger guard at the base of the handle when the blade is closed. The knurl and guard provide protection and a firm grip when the knife is in use. The original ATCF already used a pocket clip to be accessible in various body positions. 

The ATCF is one of the most copied knife shapes in the knife world, and as I often like to proudly say, “The ATCF is the shape...that shaped the whole industry!”

In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov presented the AK-47 assault rifle he had designed to the Red Army and immediately convinced the decision-making bodies of its development. Only two years later, the now famous AK-47 was officially put into service as the "7.62 mm Awtomat Kalasshnikova obraztsa 1947". Mikhail Kalashnikov personally visited the Boker manufacture in Solingen in 2002 and officially introduced the Boker Kalashnikov knife line to the public. More than 70 years after the AK-47 entered service, we now present a truly exceptional special edition model of the knife line and once again honor its brilliant engineering achievement. The Boker Kalashnikov Bayonet Damascus features a unique Damascus steel blade, made from 6Ch3 and 6Ch4 bayonet steel according to the GRAU index of the former Soviet Army and decorated with General Kalashnikov's signature. The stainless Damascus, handcrafted by Chad Nichols, has 80 layers and is hand forged in the Virus pattern. It features an unusually intricate pattern that is the result of a very controlled forging process.

The handle is CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminum and then black anodized. The stabilized inlays are made of domestic hornbeam wood, reminiscent of the wood in the stock of the famous assault rifle, and together they form the shape of the characteristic vents on the fore-end. The Russian amber shellac color of the original stocks has been accurately reproduced. They are also CNC milled from solid and inserted by hand. All screws and clip are also black anodized. Helmsman is a knife designed and perfected in every single detail for its primary use in a nautical environment and represents the evolution of the BF2 V model presented on the Amerigo Vespucci School Ship in 2013 and dedicated to the most beautiful ship in the world.

The blade, which reaches a length of 87 mm, has a serration at the base while the tip has a flat grinding that allows symmetrical cutting work with wider support while the stone washed finishing process preserves more from corrosion in a marine environment.
